It's hopeless. We lose 1-2 in extra innings. :(

When we do pitch good, we don't hit. It's like every pitcher we face has the right stuff when we play them. We've still got Miller and Oswalt trying to find themselves out there. Start Dotel or something...I dunno.

Our guys lack something a lot lately.

Way to run the basepaths people. Ugh.

First 3 batters, 3 hits, one person on base. When does football season start?

MLB!!! Stop being b****es and just bring the Expos to Washington DC already!!!!

Hell, I'd take any baseball team in DC, but a good, exciting, young team like the Expos would make it even sweeter. Just do it!

My dream would be for the stadium to be put in Arlington, right on the Potomac river facing the Mall, with the Washington monument viewable from home plate!!!!

Alright, I'm getting too excited. Go Astros! :D

Jeff Bagwell Leads the league in homeruns!!!

Finally a game when the stros are the ones doing all the hitting and scoring a run an inning.

    Go stros.

Yes! Finally! A win! Well, they didnt get swept by the Expos. Too bad after winning all of their first 3 series, they have lost the last three i think.

Bagwell is swinging that bat really well.

    Final: Astros 6-3

We've lost the last 5 series.

    Cards, Giants, Brewers, Mets, Expos.

    We suck.

Something interesting I just thought about concerning a stadium in DC. I remember something about there being a law against anything being higher than the Monument. So, the stadium would prolly have to be in Arlington. I've never been to Dc and I do not know how high stadiums usually are, but I think they are higher than 200 something feet. Maybe not, but I think your idea would make for a nice stadium.

    Heh, I doubt it.

From what I've seen, the Northern Virginia group is a lot more organized than the DC group, so I think a ballpark in Arlington is more likely than one in DC, but who knows. However, I'm sure the team will still be called the Washington ________.

I think Virginia has been actively trying to get a baseball team for like fifteen years? That's where the Astros were most likely headed if Enron wasn't built, if I remember correctly. So, they've definitely put in the legwork.

Basically, the MLB is trying to do everything within it's power to keep a team out of the DC area, but when it comes down to it they're just not going to have a choice. It's just too logical. Peter Angelos (the Orioles owner) can go **** himself.

The rule is actually that nothing can be higher than the dome of the capitol building, except for the washington monument. the stadium height issue shouldn't be a problem though, as RFK stadium is located in the district and it isn't a problem.
