OMG.... Wandy with a freaking web gem.

That was awesome.... I like him (even if he has the curse of the jersey # right now).

I'm liking Wandy. Seems to know how to pitch, great movement, great control, and is getting lots of grounders and infield pops. Pitches fairly economically. Good formula.

Plus, he has my birthday (though I'm younger), is also lefthanded, and similar height/weight.

    Nick- Cursed jersey #?

    And he gets a single!

The last one I could think of was Randy Johnson.

Think much more recent.... and much much worse (hint... his last name rhymes with Sledding).

No kidding. Patterson hit his homer right after I realized it. :(

Still, I liked what I saw. He has a slender frame, in his first start, and on 3 days rest. No surprise that he'd have a shaky start and just sort of run out of gas. Different than the shellings Zeke was facing.

and there is no way he is 5'11'' either

Carlos Hernandez is listed at 5'10'' and 185 lbs and he makes Wandy look like Mini Me

He still gets enough on his fastball... topped out at 91 mph.

Plus, little guys force the batter to look at something different... look at the effect Oswalt had when he first came up... batters couldn't believe the stuff that this little guy was throwing.

Anyone know why Roger Clemens only went five innings when he was rolling? Did he get injured or something? I wasn't watching. I do notice we have a 2-0 lead. I hope it lasts with our bullpen.
