Haha .. Yeah its fun to think about keeping but unless you have Yankee Money to spend it truly isn't worth it.

ESPN was suggesting Mesa from Pittsburgh ... I like that if they can get him at a reasonable price

Wheew! 4-4 tie, Astros up in the ninth.

Weathers got out of a jam. He has a pretty fast pickoff move - held Patterson at first nicely.

He still essentially gets 2 outs for that AB.... man, this team is hard to watch, minus Beltran, Lidge, Clemens and Oswalt.

And three of those guys don't play everyday.

Man, we tied the game up!! What happened?

Beltran hit a 3-run homer. Hell yeah!! The man is an absolute stud.

    It's COMEBACK time!!

Ensberg should go back to the hotel after that play.

Give Beltran a respectable offer (not crippling franchise offer). If Anaheim can pay Guerrero, we can pay Beltran.

If we can pay Bag-gio, we can pay Beltran.

Well if we hold them for one more inning, Beltran will come up again.

Why are they letting Bullinger (sp?) pitch to Walker?

    Hope they don't regret this...

edit: almost did... hit a shot right to bags.

    Is Guerrero represented by Boras?

If not, then I am not really liking our chances. He just seems to bring the highest club-crippling franchise deals.

I think that since we are paying for Baggs and Biggio, we can't pay for Beltran. We already have some monster contracts on the books andwe have to resign Roy at some point.

No, I don't think he is. Also, Anaheim has a new owner who's trying to corner the market share in LA on baseball, thus he's paying whatever it takes right now.

Its not your typical mid-market franchise spending... its big-time spending... thus, unless Drayton is prepared to mortage everything, don't count on us becoming like that.

Now... why is Bullinger pitching to Patterson, with Gallo up?

Edit: I may have found a way to jinx opposing batters...

biggio isn't getting paid much at all, relatively speaking.

    bags contract is definitely high.

Gallo has stunk against lefties this year which is surprising since he's supposed to be a situation specialist with a nasty slider.

Left handed hitters are hitting over .320 against him this year, and Patterson hits pretty well off lefties (see his shot off Pettitte).

    Beltran for president!

That dude is unreal. He's been here all of 6 games and he makes the rest of the Astros look like turds in comparison.

    Screw the Astros...go Beltran! LOL.
