Jason Michaels and Kato are both terrible. I have no idea how they made the team to begin with. The crazier thing is we sent Masonet back down and kept Kato. No wonder this team has went down the toliet the past few years.

Because we all know that the 5th best record in the National League last year and a hurricane away from probably making the playoffs qualify as "went [sic] down the toilet".

And just to show how open minded I am, I was actually hoping for a Berkman bunt in the 9th inning last night (although, not if he was hitting left handed). :)

Remember when we had Vizcaino and Orlando Palmeiro off the bench? Those were the good days, we came into this season with Jason "I can't get a hit" Smith and Jason "I always strike out with a man on 3rd and less than 2 out" Michaels.

We should release Michaels anyway, call back Reggie Abercrombie. He was pretty productive for us last season.

Ken Rosenthal reported on Fox that the Cubs put in a claim for Chris Coste yesterday, but he was awarded off waivers to the Astros because they had a worse record than the Cubs.

Interesting... that means if the teams put in claims just a few hours later, the Cubs would have gotten him. We leapfrogged the Cubs in the standings when they lost yesterday.
