Arrgh... Pirates cough up the 2-0 lead in the 8th inning.

2-2 now, with the Cubs still batting in the 8th.

I see were blowing it with 2 outs in the ninth and their catching up. That pop-up would have nailed the game but the ss stumbled around like a fool.

WTF was Bruntlett thinking. Just run off the fricking field and let Lamb catch it. Lamb called it let him get it. If we lose this it will be on his shoulders.

omg, now we gotta face pujols. you know, when they scored the second run, it didn't really bother me but i had this funny feeling that things might get worse and lo and behold here we sit.

please don't let pujols go deep.

well, that's what it takes to beat the best team in baseball.

They rarely will ever just lay down and let you beat up on them... only negative about tonight was that we had to use Lidge.

But, it was still a much needed victory... Cubs and Pirates still tied in extra innings, Giants already beat the Brew-crew.

I had butterflies in my stomach at the end. Now Lidge is not available for a 2 inning save tomorrow...

Frankly, I can't believe they even decided to pitch to Pujols... I know you should never put the tying or winning run on base, but with Edmonds out of the game, and Rolen injured, you take your chances with ANYBODY ELSE trying to beat you.

Scott Kazmir beat Pedro at Fenway today. 9K's through 6 shutout innings.
