So much for Dotel's chance of getting a save tonight.

I thought he would get it. Oh well.

4-1 Astros, Bases loaded double (2 RBIs) by Kent. Top of the 8th.

EDIT: Nice run of posts there Codell, sorry I had to put an end to it.

WTF was Berkman doing? I've never seen a runner dive between HP and 1st.

you know what makes that even funnier, my roommate and i had just been talking about ruben rivera's famous jaunt around the bases last year (missed 2nd, almost out at third, out at home) and even just read a whole account of it and were on the floor rolling and no more than 15 seconds later lance is diving between home and first, checking out the play behind him, and thrown out for a double play at first after someone getting thrown out at home. classic.

he was diving to dodge the throw home (then he checks out the play which is even funnier). the catcher must've been the most surprised guy on the field. tag a guy out and look around and all of a sudden realize the batter hasn't even made it to first base.

Good insurance run. Dotel will still get the save as well since he came in during the 8th. :D

He will?! How many runs until the save no longer counts? I thought it was two.

Is 3 run lead still a save?

Don't think it matters how big the lead gets from on out. Dotel came in when it was 3 run game and will close out the 9th. So I think we could score 10 runs this inning and Dotel could come in the 9th and get the save opportunity. Baseball season just started though so I may be off base though ;)

What a shocker. Edmonds hits a HR against us.

Back to back job, with Rolen going deep.

    Lead is down to 2.

Dotel looks awful to start the season.

I think Dotel is losing his velocity, he now has to rely mostly on his slider. Oh well, at least we won.
