    What a great game.

8-0 good guys. 2outs., men on the corners.

Hidalgo is just on fire this season!!

    11hits for the good guys.

    2 hits for birds.

Wade can't find his spot. He has thrown a lot of balls today.

BUT the cards can't take advantage!!! :D

    GO STROS.

EDIT: BIggio with 7 doubles already, and we have only played 9 games (including today).

HUH? you talking about me? IIRC I always type HIDALGO....that's how you spell his name. It's not HILDalgo.

Biggio done for the day, he is getting a rest. Lane now in at CF.

    111 pitches for Miller.

Miller is 19-8 in day games. WHOOP!

Miller has 122 pitches through 7 innings.

I think Jimy must have fallen asleep in the dugout!

Also, who else is surprised by the now-common practice of subbing in Lane as a defensive replacement of Biggio late in games? First early sign that Bidge will one day be phased out? Of course that won't happen as long as Bidge is hitting like he has so far this season.

Gotchya. I was thinking it might have to do with something like that. I just didn't understand exactly what you meant. I dont spell Hidalgo as Hidogo. ;)

I think Miller is done now. I could be wrong. I will be big time SURPRISED if he is still in after the break.

Baggy out. Viz takes his spot at 1st.

1 more out to complete this great game! :D

Listen to those boo's. Gotta love it.

GAME OVER!!! What a great series. Astros bats where so alive in St. Louis. ROOT FOR THE GOOD GUYS!

Our bats are so hot. This is the way they should be playing. So much power in the linup, AND great pitching. We are definetly a great team this season. Go Astros!

    This was a statement series.

Going into St. Louis, scoring 26 runs in 3 games, stealing one without Pettite.

I know our guys can't stay this hot all season, but the offense looks great.

And it's comforting to start out 3-0 against the Cards this early.

Yes, and the "statement" is that it's going to be a looooong year for cardinal fans. I can smell their team all the way from Houston!

This was a HUGE win today... even though they had already won the series... simply because of the matchup tommorow with Sheets vs. Redding.

Sheets shutdown this HOT offense 5 days ago, and we've been HOTTER ever since. Of course, a lot of that probably had to do with the awful pitching St. Louis is trotting out now... both their bullpen and their starters just aren't getting the job done.

Can Sheets do it again? Probably not, but at the worst, it will just be a minor bump in the road like the last time we faced him.

Poor Redding though.... he must be salivating, seeing this team put up 10+ runs in these games... then when its his turn, he finds out he's matched up against the only pitcher the Brewers have... again.
