Pence swings for everything in the dirt and Towles is lackadaisical.

Here's to watching more Blum, Michaels and Castro.

I've been advocating this for the last two years, but there's no chance Drayton go for this. Especially with Ed "I love em mediocre relivers" Wade at the helm. Drayton's strategy of penny-pinching on the minor league level is not something you can just change overnight.

And just having high picks mean almost nothing in the MLB draft, because signability and scouting plays a huge part in the process. Hence why the Astros once passed up one of the best shortstops in history, as his signing bonus "went over their budget". And why so many of our recent picks were never signed, only for them to reenter the draft to be picked at higher positions.

I totally agree with trading Hunter once he starts hitting, for the right package. Lee will be here to stay. The rest of them can go. I really hope Drayton will grow a pair and let Ed Wade do what is best for the team. Is there an Astros chat on here? Thanks

Until there is a change in GM or Owner, this team will always suck.

Wrong, we've had our most success ever with Drayton at the helm, and at some point you need consistency at the GM position.

Everything is slowly going to get worked out.

How normal is it to have a day off in the middle of a series?

Checked my DVR couldn't find a game for tonight on FSH....

And just checked the OP. 12, 14,15. Don't recall seeing that before....or just never paid enough attention.

Not often, they do it because it is the Cards opening homestand...it has happened once or twice before with the Stros. It happened at the beginning of this season with the Yanks and Sox too. Why does an opening homestand need a dayoff in between games...you go me on that?

Amazing how people forget that. But we've tried to tell Kate that a dozen times; it's her opinion and she's sticking to it.

    How long did that last...

Its going to be a couple years before things change or the stros make another run like that if Drayton and Wade are running things.

Actually not a couple years, but a very long time.

Well between 1993 and 2008 the club had exactly 2 sub .500 seasons.

Kate I feel your frustration but I am willing to give Wade till 2012 to make this club watchable again or until we start seeing the kids from his first two drafts start popping up on the big club.

Really? If you were Drayton, you would let Wade be GM of your team for (2 seasons) 300+ more games...

Just to see if the kids pan out...

I thought that was pretty strange as well. My best guess is the MLB felt great pity for the Astros and decided to at least give them 24 hours before losing yet again.

So on a side note I created a pitcher on my MLB 2010 the show and in AA Corpus Christi you can find Chris Johnson and Jason Michaels along with a few others that are currently on our major league roster.

Even the video game knows how bad our talent is ;/

He's had his hands tied to a certain degree. Half of our payroll is tied up in 3 players, all of whom are overpaid for what they're current performance level is, all of whom have no trade clauses. That was like that before he got here. With that in mind, he should at least get a chance to build a roster of his own when the money is freed up to do so.

Koby Clemens hit two home runs last night in AA, equaling the Astros total for the season.

Koby Clemens won't do squat in the MLB. Career Minor leaguer like 90% of the guys in the farm system.
