Put me in the "believers" group. There's something about this team I just really like. Yeah, their offense sucks and they shrink in fear when they face a rookie starting pitcher (and have for about 7 years now), but I love the personalities: Wily's outright REFUSAL to draw a walk, Ensberg's stoic power, Eric "Mr. Clutch" Bruntlett, and, maybe my personal fav, our best hitter (Berkman) that could be easily mistaken for most, if not all, of the regulars at Little Woodrow's. These guys just seem like an interesting and entertaining group of personalities. One of my new fav's is Charles Gipson (or "Gippy" as my girlfriend and I call him). My wallpaper right now is that pitcture of him and Everett laying on the ground after their collision, with Gippy's glove hoisted high in the air, the ump standing over them, seeing the ball in his glove and giving the "out" signal. Also, when Pettite is "on" I can't think of a pitcher I'd rather have on our side. When his sh*t is moving, it's REALLY moving.
I think we will pull it out. We probably won't win out, though. But, this team is good at pulling things out when you don't expect them to. So, we need that group that doesn't expect good things to happen so those good things will happen. We've been there before and we know what needs to be done. As far as predicting wins-losses in the final games, I suck at it so I won't even go there.
Just friggin WOW....i love being wrong! I dont care how we do it.....just get it done. I am in utter and complete awe of this team who I left for dead in April/May.....just amazing. If Phil Garner doesn't win mgr of the year, then they should throw away the award cuz it dont mean a thing!

Haha... nice to see the optimism finally come around. Now only if you could have some sort of influence on the multiple followers you spawned after the tirades started in early April/May. Some of them still refuse to root for this team, even though they are currently in a better position this year than they were last year in the playoff chase.
No offense taken....and any crap I get for whining about them i deserve....Im just friggin amazed at what this team has accomplished. yes we need to grab lunch....i forgot u were moving across the way....maybe we will sneak out and watch a day playoff game next week !
Bottom line is that we are in it! Would I have liked another bat? Of course. Am I still a little sore about the Beltran fiasco? Sure. But I could care less now...i never stopped going to games rooting my heart out....its all good....u guys were right...i was wrong.....and the magic # is 5!
I completely forgot about that. Day playoff games will suck. I'll come in extremely early so I can get out of here. Oh God, I can't imagine how bad that is going to suck. Suck suck suck. BTW, I don't think you or anyone else deserves crap for thinking they would suck at the beginning of the season. It's those who consistently whine and think the season's over during the last three months. If you can't enjoy the ride, don't even bother getting on! Harrisment, We're talking about offices.
