yeah that was GREAT! The baserunner didnt even move...he just stood there starring. Then when bags had it in his hand the runner jogged to kent where he was tagged out.
Cubbie update. Cubs were beating the Expos 4-0 for 7 innings, but now the expos have taken over the game. EDIT: Expos now lead 8-4!!!
1 Out. Man on 3rd and 2nd. Berkman up to bat. Intentional walk to Berkman. Chavez up to bat. nutz....double play!!!!!
That's a winner... just like beating the Cubs in a head-to-head game. (they lost to the Expos, btw, 8-4). Tommorow looks tough, with a day game and Sheets pitching. The cubs have Prior going as well... even more reason why tonight's win was so huge. Gotta love that Kirk Bullinger...
I hope we get Richie Sexson as soon as he's a free agent. I like the guy. He certainly has improved some of his weaknesses recently.
Uhh... while Richie is a very talented player (who probably will command a huge long-term contract, if he hasn't gotten one already from the Brewers...), I think the 'Stros plan on eventually moving Lance to 1st and shore up the outfield.... although Berkman's been a great OF, he's a 1B by trade, and his OF defense can only get worse the older he gets...
WHoohoo...another winning streak. Hope they can keep it up when they play a real team this weekend!!!
Hehehe...I see your plan here: sign Sexson to play first & move Bagwell to 3rd. Pure genius. On another note, the 'Stros have tied their high-water mark for the year - 11 games over .500. Buncha chokers. Elarton didn't help us out much last night (god...if only Dirk hadn't ruined that kid), but good ol' Moises sure did.
Come on BT. Elarton was a puss thrower. I was always shocked that he had that one good season. Watching him pitch, his stuff was far from unhittable and the league just caught up to him (and he has yet to catch back up ).
