Why is it that Villone and Robertson get wins while Miller and Oswalt can't?

    Wacky season.

RM95, not pessimistic mate, just realistic, the Stros record against .500 or better teams is less then 30%.....does not bode well.

Bodes well enough to have us in first place.

Excluding interleague play (which I do, because it sucks), the 'Stros are playing .404 ball (19-28) against the .500+ teams in the NL.

    Buck,

You can't exclude interleague play just to make it look better, come on now.

    RM95,

I work with a bunch of English guys....words are slipping into my vocabulary, like Mate etc.

I'm not excluding interleague play "to make it look better", I'm looking at common opponents. Plus, like I said, interleague play is a ****ing joke. I will hereby continue to stick my head in the sand & act as if it doesn't exist. This is my prerogative.

Last night's game was good...They actually didn't give up when it got close...I was very surprised...

I feel good with Miller on the mound, so I'll go out an a limb and say we'll win, 5-4...

    Go Stros'

Yes, but they typically score a lot of runs for him too. This could be a high scoring game.

Oswalt injured and Miller struggling, we are in trouble.

    3-run HR Javy Lopez. 6-0

Could someone tell me why we are swinging at the first pitch all the time?

We're gonna be lucky if this game doesn't get really ugly.

Because the players that make contact on the first pitch are batting something like .490 against Shane. That and he has not been throwing sinkers first.

I'm happy to see Shane doing well, even though I don't like him beating us. He's a quality guy and I felt that we slighted him during Spring Training.
