Dubon? Or Correa, Yount was 30 when he made the change from Shortstop to CF. Altuve and Correa in the outfield lol.
Jaworsky and Valencia are underrated prospects. Sanchez is a legit hitter in the 5-6 hole who balances the lineup and is controlled 2 seasons after this. Lower level of the farm took a ding but they can recover from that. Not super excited about the overall value (would have rather left out the throw-in in Valencia) but still a decent trade.
Two more scratch-offs. Esmil Valencia was holding his own in his first year in a full-season league at 19 and his OPS improved each month. He led all Astros minor leaguers with 50 stolen bases. But, Valencia probably wouldn't be seeing Houston until the end of the decade at the earliest.
Somehow convincing a team to trade for "Ryan Gusto" may be one of Dana's more improbable moves since he took over.
No. The Astros needed a left-handed bat and this allows them more flexibility to play Altuve at 2B or DH until Alvarez returns. If Alvarez does return, you’ll see more of Altuve at 2B.
Sanchez periphs show improvement. A guy with major talent showing improvement vs lower level minor league guys. With this window. I’m all for it.
