A couple of additional possibilities to consider.
    2023 lineup:
    2B Altuve
    RF Tucker
    3B Bregman
    LF Alvarez
    SS Pena
    CF Meyers
    1st Gurriel
C Maldonado split with Lee (C,1st)
DH Yainer Diaz (DH,1st base, 3rd catcher)
    Bench:
    Dubon - (5th IF, DH)
    McCormick {4th OF, DH}
    Matijevic Et al. (bat)

I was referring to his xwOBA which is around .314 since June where league average is around .330. If that is what he looks like while he's performing then imagine what he'll look like when he cools off again.

honestly, i would rather target someone like Musgrove in FA if it's going to take $30M+/year to keep JV in Houston. Much better bang for the buck.

Maybe. JV at $90M/3yr plus incentives is probably a better deal than Musgrove at $180M/6yrs.

Considering Aaron Judge’s bullshit and everything going on this series, this was maybe my favorite regular season moment of all time (outside of the Astros beating the Cubs to clinch the division in 1997).

It was a good one for sure. Anything like that against the Yankees will always be gold.

Mine has to be Mike Scott’s NL West clinching no hitter in 86.

Didn't Altuve walk them off at Yankee Stadium last year?

Can't walk off on the road.

But yes, he did hit a go-ahead 3 run bomb off Chad Green in the bronx.

I presume the Yankee late inning heroics a few weeks ago was payback for that.

I remembered it because you could hear the "**** altuve" chants and he BOMBED their asses for it.

My favorite regular season moment outside the current 5 year run would be Mike Scott throwing his no hitter in 1986 to clinch the division. Can't remember ever watching a more dominant pitching performance.

Dusty is not under contract for next year so he does not need to be fired, just let to walk like Washington did.

Espada should be the next manager.

My hope is that they win the WS and Dusty rides off into the sunset just in time for him to take over.

I firmly believe he will be a manager in 2023 whether it's for the Astros or not.

    Relax.
What it looks like from my house is likely different than the view from yours. Perspective is a major factor here. Divergent conclusions are inevitable and can lead to pleasant conversation or to tediously poor behavior. I hope our next exchange can be more amicable.

What does your house have to do with my house and viewing this team?

What perspective do you have that is different than mine?

Baseball is not a sport you can just out-talent the other team every day, pitchers can be off certain days or batters just have bad luck, pitchers can also have great days every once and a while on bad teams.

What you said just shows you don't have a great concept of everything that baseball involves.

The team record has no bearing on how the pitcher will pitch from game to game and you can't just roll out bench players and expect to win a major league baseball game.

This is not about divergent opinions it's about how the game of baseball works, it's the only game where you can fail a large majority of the time as a batter and still be a Allstar.

Every forum you show up in is worse cause you’re arrogant and even when I agree with your opinions I end up disliking you.
