You thought Jordan was still playing when JVG took the Knicks to the finals and you say I don't know what I am talking about?

    Checkmate. :p

Read closer, assclown. I never said Jordan was playing when the Knicks made the Finals. Go and find when I said this...you don't know what you are talking about.

I don't like it when people put words in my mouth. That's exactly what he was doing. And no, clearly I'm not a Knicks fan that feels neglected or something. I'm trying to have an intelligent conversation but some people just don't have the brain mass to realize the faults in their thinking.

You're opinion is your opinion. The majority of people on this board feel that the West is better than the East even during JVG reign. We're fans of a Western conference team. If we said the East is on par, that would be blasphemy in these parts. Concede that you probably can't change our minds and move on with it.

You did say that Jordan played and stood in his way for half of his coaching with in NYK that is not true. Over half of his coaching experience was done with Jordan out of the way. Fact.

Also the point was that when JVG took the Knicks to the NBA finals the East sucked as a conference. Once again that was fact. The east has sucked since the day MJ retired from the Bulls.

Van Gundy proved absolutely nothing when he took the Knicks to the finals in 98-99 and Van Gundy did not have Jordan to contend with for over half of his years as head coach. Fact.

JVG coached in 6 postseasons, and I believe 2 of them were stopped by the Bulls, and the other by the Heat or Pacers, who were then eliminated by the Bulls. I didn't know 3 out of 6 was in the minority.

Winning is easier in the East, however, Van Gundy took them to the Finals without Patrick Ewing. That should be equal to winning in the West IMO.
