Is it true that Andre the Giant once ate an entire 72 ounce steak challenge at Amarillo's Big Texan Steakhouse before asking for a second one?
What do you think of today's NBA vs. the NBA of the 80's and 90's? Do you enjoy it as much now that 4's and 5's are just jacking up 3-pointers all night instead of posting up and dominating the boards?
9 lbs of steak was nothing for Andre. He also had a dozen baked potatoes, three gallons of beans, a gross of rolls, a wheelbarrow full of salad with enough dressing to choke a horse... and he washed it all down with a barrel of whiskey and a keg of beer. Great man, the Giant.
I do miss good post play and being able to name more than 2-3 NBA centers. Basketball is turning into flag football in that it's all about quickness at the expense of strength and there's no more work in the trenches. Where have you gone Artis Gilmore?
It's quaint you used the word "one." Andre the Giant never ate just one of anything and that is yet another reason we revere him so much.
The amazing thing about this thread is the amount of likes. I thought it would be a stretch to get to 2,000, but that number is now getting smaller in the rearview mirror. Thanks all.

It's a natural law that the number of Lowe's Rob Lowe could rob is the same number of plastic surgeries Rob Lowe has endured. So, Rob Lowe could rob 147 Lowe's. (I do like that Rob Lowe's sons give him crap on social media.)
Andy Kaufman was a comic personality created by Danny DeVito. When Danny got tired of playing him, Andy went away.
