I can only assume that Asik has managed to stay in shape. Perhaps he has a riding bicycle hanging over his couch :p

If a player ever did fake an injury or choose to sit from an injury that they were capable of playing thru, I wouldn't expect that player to admit that in an interview. Nor would I expect his team to publicly accuse him of that without concrete proof, which with injuries is virtually impossible. What do you think his trade value would be after being publicly accused of faking an injury? Look no further than Royce White to see how little the Rockets will publicly say about problem players. If they want to trade him and know he isn't really injured, then all he has to do is "recover" right before the trade goes thru.

That being said, I don't think the injury itself was faked. I think it's more a question of could he come back from the injury faster than he has, and played thru some pain if he wanted to? Asik may be completely innocent here, but his behavior after being benched opened him up to these questions when other wise no one would doubt him. The questions have just gained momentum due to an exceptionally long recovery time with a knee problem the doctors can't seem to find a cause for, and the initial injury not being something most people even noticed when it happened in the game. That plus getting told he will be back in 7-10 days every 7-10 days since the start of December, with a most recent projected return date that just happens to be right before the trading dead line when we all know he is demanding a trade.

Luckily if he comes back and plays hard as long as he is still here, then none of this matters.

If Omer was really injured, then welcome back bro, we need you or whatever players you get us in a trade when we play the elite.

If Omer was faking, ***k you bro, we need you or whatever players you get us in a trade when we play the elite.

No matter what he did he is out of game shape. The only way to get him in game shape is to play.

Had we heard about him repeatedly having fluid drained from his knee until now? I probably would have been a little more believing if I'd heard that prior to yesterday.

It was in articles plenty of times that he had to get fluid drained. Also that he had gone to see a knee specialist and they couldn’t figure out what was causing the swelling when he tried to practice with the team.

Read more of the team articles for information like this, on CF you will see hes faking, bruised vagina, he’s losing money for his next contract acting like a baby etc. etc.

I saw all of the stuff about the swelling and the specialist, etc., but I missed the fluid draining part. I'm woman enough to admit I'm one who has heavily criticized and disbelieved him -- but I highly doubt anybody would keep going in to have fluid drained off their knee just to keep up a ruse. I feel a little bad for being so mean. LOL.
