maybe asik for young and a top 10 '14 first, MAYBE. but look for better offers than that. he gets paid a bit too much for my liking
There is that little problem of 14.3% shooting from behind the three point line. Cannot see Morey giving a plug nickel for him.
But you run into the "potential" effect. The value of a probable lottery pick in 2014 is probably higher now than any time in the past. Heck, if it were up to me I would trade Asik, Jones and the Rockets first round pick to any team for a probable top 10 2014 pick. Randall, Wiggins, Jabari. Those three are low risk and high reward players. High reward as in possible franchise players.
Any team that has even a tiny chance of winning the 2014 lottery is not giving up their pick, not for Asik, at least. Morey is good, but he doesn't have Jedi powers. It's possible, I suppose, if the pick were protected, maybe 1-10, but I think Asik is worth more than a lottery protected pick. And Thaddeus Young isn't enough of an upgrade to be worth Asik. That deal screams desperation to me.
The 6ers 1st round pick (most likely a lottery) would be the most valueable piece in the trade. The 2014 first round picks most likely will all endup being impat players from the get go.Noway a rebuilding team hedging their bets on this drafty will trade it away for Asik. That's to far fetched.Infact they would trade Evans before trading their 1st pick.
We weren't trying to contend either.. And it was the KNICKS haha TMac was a former All-Star and difference maker who was screaming he could still play and the coach just wasn't playing him (of which we saw he didn't have anything left once he got there) so that was da lil different I'm my eyes. All im saying is everyone knows he has to be moved at some point so they may just wait it out. It's not like he is a good all around player. He is limited.
You're darn right he's not. No way we'd take Thad Young and a (protected) first round pick for Asik. There's plenty of 4s in the league who can't do much (aka Thad Young) - they just don't all get the playing time Young does, because they're stuck behind guys who can do stuff. There aren't many elite defensive 5s in the league. And only 1 who is stuck behind a better 5.
Pass on Thad Young. Sixers wouldn't trade a lotto pick in 14 for Asik straight up, much less throwing in young. Next idea
Thadeus Young is a good player, but I don't think he's much of an upgrade at all over Terrence Jones.
This source doesn't sound legit at all. Even doc rocket sounds more legit and that dude is making up riddles.
the way i see it, starting defensive center are high in demand but not enough. players like young aren't hard to get, we might have two similar with tj and dmo. since we'd be sending out asik we need something more than a dime a dozen talent. top 10 pick in a loaded draft would make it fair. but no team would do that for asik alone. could be trading a franchise player.
Evan Turner is putting up all star numbers. I'm sorry but Philly trading Turner for Asik is laughable.
i have yet to get a good look at chandler's mom. i always forget to pay attention when the camera shows her,a nd that pic is bad quality.
