No. Taipei(Taiwan) is playing as a region, not as a country. This is not the first time and is the same way Taiwan entered WTO along with China. The same thing goes for Hong Kong.

Although the statistics of Yao Ming against Taipei were good, from what I saw after watching the game, Yao Ming needs to get more meat on his body,

He was constantly boxed out, or pushed out of the shaded lane. H wasn't as assertive as you would think a 7'6'' man would be.

Yao Ming will not push Shaq out of the box. Shaq will still be the premiere center of the league until Yao Ming can shove his way against burly and muscled big men.

And how would he fare if he had to scramble for a loose ball? I don't think he's flexible enough to dive for loose balls on the floor.

Yao Ming will feel pain in his first year in the NBA.

CCTV5 will show this game at 11pm Houston time (12pm Eastern time) today. (One hour and 20 minutes later.)
    You can watch it online.

    Good quality. very smooth.

The first Q would be interesting. Ming had 7-7 from field and got 18 points at this Q.

God, I hate the Chinese commies. China beats Taiwan in an empty gym in Busan!!! Whop dee doo! as DC would say. Why couldn't they let the boy practice with real players and real coaches. Sean Chen, Taiwan's best players is in Sacramento's training camp. Why do the chinese have to be such asses...

By the way I was in Busan a couple of months ago. I'll be real surprised if people show up even for the S.Korea games. Nobody cares about basketball in Korea. Even handball is more popular. The Chinese will likely win it all, but it will be like a tree falling with nobody around to hear it...
