Whether you are serious or joking, that's actually a disturbing stereotype a lot of people have. It's a rather simple case of selection bias (who goes to bars where there are a lot of foreigners? people who are interested in foreigners...), yet tons of people have been brainwashed into thinking yanks like us are welcomed everywhere
