    India? You wish.
80% of Australia's iron ore goes to China.. The mining boom will be over when China's strong demand abates.

Yes they are but that Australia and NZ are still engaging the PRC shows that they still consider the PRC very important to their economic success.

All those countries involved are in China's direct sphere of influence.

And those mouth breathing magats think they have it tough. Time to pop another happy pill!

With China slowly breaking into their own complete and separate internet. It'll be interesting to see how the NSA and five eyes will gain visibility into it.

They're pretty much stealing EVERYONE'S internet communications right now and putting it into the digital meat grinder.

Losing that traffic means they'll have to work harder. They'll still spy on their own public though, no doubt about that...

And again they just signed a trade agreement with the PRC. If they didn't think the PRC wasn't important they wouldn't have agreed to this new agreement.

All of this shows the complicated view that Asia and much of the World has towards the PRC. They are uneasy about the PRC particularly expansionist moves in places like the South China Sea and wary of the Xi Regime move to great authoritarianism. They also though recognize the size and power of the PRC market and the influence it has on many regional economies. Countries like Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines have simultaneously been opposing the PRC while also continuing to trade and work economically with them.

This goes back to the importance of opposing the PRC multilaterally.
