Your so called fact is not true. Now, knowing deaths lag a few weeks behind new cases, and considering the huge difference in our positive case trends, it's going to rise more here. There's no excuse for the way our Governor let this get out of control after seeing what happened a couple months ago in New York. He didn't want to look weak in Trump's eyes. Hopefully we get this under control before we lose family or friends. That's my hope right now.
It is funny that governors in Florida, Texas and Georgia think they can lie about the amount of COVID19 deaths in their state. They were always going to be caught. Science can look at the total number of deaths in a state and what a normal distribution of deaths are. Simply labeling a bunch of COVID deaths as pneumonia isn’t going to stand up to scrutiny even if the symptoms are similar. Right now the estimate just based on the pneumonia designation, is that Texas and Florida have under reported COVID deaths 3,500-8,000 in each state. There could be more, scientists are still looking at other labeled causes of death. My question is what is the fall out for the leaders in these states? Criminal charges? It is political suicide.
My best friend is HFD/EMT and said this last week has been brutal. He didn’t go into details but he leans to the right and just said I will agree with the left on this issue because it’s been no fun dealing with these cardiac arrests.
