Today was the lowest Friday death total in the US since March... Sorry, folks, some good news....a nice break from the panic p*rn that's posted all day around here
I can’t possibly imagine being the type of person that hears that speech and says ‘Yeah! That’s right!” with a serious look on my face. 5 days ago this administration said we should slow the testing down because of rising cases. Now the expanded testing is a “great success”. This is why this administration is terrible.
The deaths have a lag time of several weeks. This many new cases means that the deaths will probably shoot up in the coming weeks. This really isn’t the time to be celebrating anything.
This sounds obvious (ie, yeah you get the virus before you die, duh...), but it also assumes that all cases are getting counted, which we know they are not. If you look at the US data, it actually doesn't show a several week lag.
What a coincidence! Every year before this one pneumonia deaths averaged around 3k a year but this year its 8k. That cant be suspicious at all. No way. I trust the govt! - @bigtexxx
I'm not convinced of this. They could be over-counted, actually, because the death numbers you see include anybody who dies with covid. That's an important distinction from dying FROM covid.
When will you ever be convinced of anything? You have too much pride to ever admit you're wrong about anything. Where does it end? When the death rates do go up, what excuse will you come up then? It's neverending with you.
It doesn't sound like it's THAT convincing to you when you say stuff like "it could be overcounted actually". So do you really believe what you're even saying here?
-giving up is not a strategy. Denial strategy is for losers and people who like being sick and 100k+ dead - rationalizing getting it is pathetic loser and dangerous plan. - test and trace is our only way out besides vaccine. - there is no vaccine yet! - get it now? We dont know the long term effects of getting covid. How do we know its death contribution long term? Guess what? We dont! Even no symptoms and could have damage AND down the line later issues! think here!! - its not the flu clearly it is more deadly. Again this notion of getting it is plain stupid!!! - its possible you can get it again. So this idea of getting out and about no biggie is loser plan.Antibody if at all may only be a few months. - very contagious.. just because its no biggie when you get it, immediately you put all at risk who you contact with getting it!! Any of them are a lottery to their health condition. This is probably the biggest reason alone to not have a denial strategy. -healthy people die from it - look me in the face and tell me YOU are cool with getting it mfer
