You just don't want to get it do you?

Of course younger and healthier people can get it and have no problems. It does not stop them from infecting those who can not survive it.

Plus... we have no real idea of long term affects. No problems today, what about 5 years from today.?

    Correlation.

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ng-predictor-of-virus-spread-chase-data-shows

JPMorgan Chase & Co., which found the level of in-person spending in restaurants three weeks ago was the strongest predictor of where new cases would emerge. Similarly, higher spending in supermarkets indicated
a slower spread, suggesting shoppers in those regions may be living more cautiously.

The bank collects the data by tracking the spending of 30 million Chase credit and debit cardholders.

“We recognize that the interplay among the many factors that could drive the spread of the virus could be quite complex, and the states now seeing rapid spreading share other characteristics beyond their restaurant spending. But we still find it useful to see these relationships between economic activity and subsequent spread of the virus,” economist Jesse Edgerton wrote in a Thursday afternoon note to clients.

You wont hear a word about this from Abbott since Fertitta pays his bills.

Please read my posts. I always say the young people need to protect the vulnerable.

The problem isn't necessary the re-opening (it was when cases have not been flatten much), but that they didn't even wait long enough and they clearly didn't have good metrics to measure against. Scrambling now is a clear sign that they messed up.

    Phase 1 was 5/1 (not 5/22)
    Phase 2 was 5/18 (not 5/29)

It should have been at least 3 weeks between Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Harris County had more new cases today than 45 of the states (1240) and Texas (5960).

Abbott screwed this up bad. You can see the graph below that includes the phases.

You must have accidentally cut it out of this post of yours since you always say it.

Plus I've read that the new cases are skewing to the younger generation, who have a minuscule chance of dying.

More great news. Today was the lowest number of US deaths (with Covid) on a Thursday since March!

Too bad we can't say that for Texas. It's been 6 weeks since we had a higher death count on a Thursday.

Texas health care deserve some credit for keeping this populous state 15th in total deaths. Hopefully we dont move to 14th.

He'll need that much sandbagging till November to cover up five Katrina's worth of flooding till November.

    ...and deaths.

up for a tip jar bet? Will Desantis end up with more deaths than Cuomo?

I will even spot you since Florida has millions more people than NY.
