This is why I don't go out. Too many risks with people like this out and about spreading the virus by their blatant disregard for anyone but themselves.
Fun story: so my cousin's frou-frou hair salon here in Marble Falls requires that customers wear masks, all the staff does of course. Lady comes in and at one point while she's unsupervised (like a ****ing toddler) takes her mask off, and while she's sitting in the chair she gets the call that her test from that morning came back positive. Her excuse for being there was that she "really needed to get her hair done". My mom told me about it and showed me my cousin's facebook rant, it's good (be sure and click see more): Spoiler
It is pretty effing simple. If you want to go back to a hard lock down and have more businesses go under, don't ... wear ... a ... mask. These no-mask-wearing, small-business-hating people are more likely than not Republicans, maybe moreso the SCWs than Club for Growth.
I've fitted my office with plexiglass around my employees' desks. I'm requiring masks and have free ones to hand out to customers. Bring it. Not many 'Murica whities come in, so my "bring it" is kind of hollow, lol.

Abbott will do as Trump wants him to. Business first, health and safety second. If Texas gets into a bad situation then Trump will blame Abbott for letting a bad situation get out of control. Abbott wants to please Trump and Trump wants to make himself look good.
4,413 to be exact. Nearly 2,000 more than the state’s previous high of 2,437 established last Wednesday (June 10).
Tuesdays are usually catch up for lower cases on the weekend it seems, but this is really a jump. The numbers in Brazoria County and Anderson County today we're crazy for their population. Anderson County had more daily cases than around 48 states.
I doubt we've seen the biggest surge from the protests yet, and that doesn't make so much sense for Anderson County's huge surge. I imagine it's all a combination of a lot of factors. We kept easing restrictions and opening more businesses, even as cases were rising. Phase 2, phase 3, and boom. You think people can eat and drink in restaurants and bars with masks? Add in people getting out more, traveling more, and going to beaches, water parks, and larger group gatherings, and it was bound to get worse. Then throw in a bunch of selfish ones who feel the need to show their unwillingness to wear a mask like their leader in charge of this country and a Governor who doesn't mandate it. There are plenty of asymptomatic carriers spreading it unknowingly. Greg Abbott isn't doing his job, and frankly this tweet shows his mindset. Business and profits over health and safety.
Yeah just throwing that out for thought since Floyd's death was 3 weeks ago -- definitely big jumps in areas without protests so probably more likely relaxing of restrictions or other factors -- I believe prison outbreaks have been mentioned. Regardless if the numbers are correct we could be at the start of a big outbreak -- certainly not outside the realm of possibilities.
