stumbled upon this from that moRon Desantis tweet

these people are just evil and blinded by greed...u go get your old ass out there and take 1 for the economy then

these fools bringing up Normandy and Seals while they sit in their mansions getting daily tests and access to the best healthcare

these people are willing to sacrifice others to keep their bank accounts fat

Are they sending their kids to school?

Buried behind the good news of Texas/Florida recent plateaus/declines of high positive tests is that they have decreased testing by almost the same percentage of the decline.

Could just be coincidence due to backlogs etc - could also be, Ron "Apology" Desantis and Greg "Don't Wear Masks, UNLESS YOU WEAR A MASK" Abbott taking Trump's if you don't test, it's not there advice to heart.

    They really are that stupid.

    Worse than that. Here's Texas:

    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/08/12/acc...cline-in-testing-skews-drop-in-new-cases.html

In Texas, for instance, new cases have fallen by 10% to an average of 7,381 a day from 8,203 two weeks ago, based on a seven-day moving average. Testing, however, is down by 53% over the same time frame. Meanwhile, the percent of positive tests has doubled over the last two weeks to about 24%, according to Johns Hopkins University. That compares with a so-called positivity rate of less than 1% in New York state, which was once considered the epicenter of the outbreak in the U.S.

Yep just heard that on MN Sports Talk radio. Comparing storming the beaches of Normandy to College Football they are putting it in their Preposterous Statement Tournament.

But what if 99% of the work is determining if the test is positive/negative.

This means that Florida teachers can shoot their ill behaved children? They best beware though since the children could be packing and more than willing to stand their ground.

Florida is such the Conservative Utopia.

Now do you get what it means about being the Lone Star state?
It means you're on your own! Not joking.
Texas isn't the Lone Star: you are.

Belief is that people just aren’t getting tested...possible that people were scared off by long wait times.

My guess is that a lot of the testing was people that were scared they might have it during the peak of it (I was one of them), and now people are only going if they have symptoms.

Problem is that we’re not catching a symptomatic people if that’s happening...which means we’re likely to see more spreading later on.

Ultimately, hospitalizations will be the first glimpse into any issues on the testing side right? For the last few weeks, they have been on a pretty steady decline. We'll know in 2 weeks if there was a fluke or something

What's more sobering is the idiocy that American medical authorities face just to get people to do something as simple as wearing a mask during a viral pandemic.
