1 of my friends works in a lab in Houston where they process Covid tests she told me she works in batches of 96 samples...she told me at the start of the outbreak, there would usually be 1 or 2 positive cases in 1 batch...these days, she’s sometimes finding up to 40 positives in a batch of 96
wow, that story about that school in a struggling district that has to reopen was so sad the handling of this virus has been criminal

SD has gone all in on staying open. Gov. Kristi Noem has been running ads in other states saying they won't shut down. They've already had outbreaks in Sioux Falls and things are bad in reservations. Pine Ridge reservation isn't that far from Sturgis.
Then the 250,000 or so bikers will go back to where they came from and spread the virus even more around the country.

I’m white, and I wear a mask any time I’m in a public place (which is as little as possible right now), wash my hands constantly and keep my distance from others. There are plenty of other white people like me that are taking this virus seriously and following best practices for containing the spread (my parents, wife, sister and brother in law fall in that group, too.) It’s a bunch of anti-science Trump supporters that are leading the anti-mask movement. They are mostly white, but their hatred of masks has more to do with their crazy politics and world views than anything else.
