You won't see me shed a tear for people like that who end up getting sick. What's even sadder is the fact that someone like that man and woman in the video would be given a ventilator over an 80 year old woman if they had to choose based on a triage point scale. Whether or not someone chose to defy safety guidelines doesn't matter in a decision like that. How hard you tried to avoid all risk won't give you extra points. If you are a good or evil human being doesn't give you more or less points. If you are old you are deemed less worthy of living. If you have fought hard already fighting other major illnesses you are deemed less worthy of living. It's really not fair at all.
Don't bother with him. He's just another mindless, Republican who doesn't care about anyone but himself and his party. If his family isn't the ones fighting to survive right now then it's nothing to worry about. Not once has he ever empathized with those dying or fighting to survive right here in Texas. He just doesn't seem to care.
My heart goes out to the patients fighting to survive, their families isolated from them, and the doctors and nurses faced with such a heartbreaking and stressful job right now doing all they can to save them.

It is embarrassing and sad that some people think reports like this are “fake news” or overblown panic p*rn. I was texting with a friend that works in the finance department of a local hospital last night, and he said the issue for them wasn’t available beds as much as not having enough staff to effectively treat everyone. He also said that’s including the reinforcements from the Army that were deployed this week.
It’s a truly sad and depressing situation right now. My heart goes out to anyone affected by COVID-19 and the healthcare workers tasked with treating those infected. All these doctors, medical professionals and public health experts aren’t lying about how grave the current situation is.
I just looked at at the list of highest per capita growth hotspot counties on NYT and 7 of top 10 were in TX. Texas is a failed state.
