Even some of Morey's bad moves are better than most of CD's:
    Bonzi Wells for cheap
    Francis for cheap

Here's all of Carroll Dawson's career GM transactions
    http://hoopshype.com/general_managers/carroll_dawson.htm

    Here's Daryl Morey's
    http://hoopshype.com/general_managers/daryl_morey.htm

Wish it'd list the amount of money in the transactions. I'd bet Morey's per/transaction price is much lower, even adjusted for inflation and economic conditions.

Not that Wesley was too bad, because he was a serviceable veteran for that season, but I think JJ was just as good (plus TMac and JJ loved each other). Then we had to lose the man we all hoped would pan out forever as well. I HATED THAT TRADE.

Can we start a petition to take the CD banner down from the rafters? That thing has to be pretty insulting to Rudy, Calvin, Hakeem, and Clyde.

How about we let those 4 vote on it?

I think they'd have a very different opinion on the matter.

I agree with this!! The deadline is not here yet and if we don't make a move I am fine with it, tells me there were no good moves to be made for this team.

This thread is filled with the sort of insightful analysis that sportscasters all over the world envy.

It's not wise to commend on our GM at this moment of time, because this will give Morey pressure to do something for sake of it and at the same time, giving other teams' GM advantages to rip us off...

I would recommend waiting after the trade deadline if you want to comment on Morey's ability. As for now, please give him more time to work through the possible trades..

I think its funny. It seems as if the situation is legit. Remember the team made it past the first round? This is when he senced the city did not need him anymore so he worked on trying to recover. Today the team is finding ways to win without him and he feels the city dont need him anymore. He is still under contract and is being played against Houston, not because of the reason, but because he was a good player and teams like NY see a potential player they can use. He made his plans out of Houston during the offseason when he moved to Chicago. McGrady sees it as revenge against the team. He made the first move of indication of wanting out. Notice how his contract floats around NY rumors, because they want to make sure it goes no where else. Take a look at who they are after? Because his contract expires. So it's part of a strategy being played by the player and other teams why 'if' moving him is that difficult than evidently it is. But lets remember the media used to dog him, not getting out of the first round.. now this year they are playing as if? So....

Pardon me for laughing at you, but Dorsey can block shots. Hayes tries to strip the ball before a shot goes up, and that's all he does for D in the paint. Yeah, he can guard the post. That's all he's getting from me, though.

Hayes' offensive game is summarized by passing and a once-in-a-game lay-up. Dorsey CAN DUNK.

Oh YEAH! DORSEY REBOUNDS. Unlike Andersen and Hayes.

I like how we've been ECSTATIC about our Guard Kyle Lowry grabbing boards. But he's a f*****ng GUARD. The fact that we're ecstatic about our Guard grabbing rebounds is depressing.

You're not a historian. Because ANY historian would not have missed this:

Yeah, I get your point on Clutch's writing that. But the bottom line is, I'd much rather see Artest on this roster than Ariza right now.

And you're still talking about the brawl? That was FIVE years ago. Why haven't you moved on?

You are being very generous to CD; your list could be four times the size. CD was a great assistant coach, a fine gentleman. I don't know if his dismal tenure as the Rocket's GM was all his fault or partly Rudy, Les, or who or what? His awful drafts, trades, and contracts painted the Rockets into a financial corner for years. They may still be paying Matt Maloney.

If that is his place then he is overpaid, overrated and out of place ahha he's a spot up shooting/defensive SF not a starting SG.

It is kind of dumb to have a fake jersey for a GM.
