My post was partially directed at the general GARM populace, particularly those complaining about Ariza's lack of production and overpaidness. I concede that after the new CBA Ariza's salary might look less appetizing but this isn't 2 years from now.

morey's been solid for the cards he's been dealt and it's not just his fault. we just arent a club that's in a desirable market nor is our owner willing to spend money to attract top talent.

I knew YEARS ago that Yao and Tmac were ticking time bombs that would never be healthy enough simultaneously to win anything. Only a moron of a GM would sit on players like that and drive them into the ground instead of trading them for healthier players while they still had at least some value.

There was a time when we could have possibly swapped Tmac for Kobe if we had pushed for it a bit. Kobe was desperately trying to force a trade and the Rockets were one of the few viable partners. People here though said that we should hold onto Tmac because Kobe "isn't a team player" and "wouldn't complement Yao well." How did that work out for everyone? The Lakers have rings, and the only time the Rockets have won anything was with Tmac in streetclothes. Now Tmac is about to expire and we will get nothing for him.

Morey should be a talent scout, not a GM. He doesn't have the balls to make the kind of moves that would bring a title to Houston. Penny-wise but Pound foolish is what describes him best. He does well with the small moves but completely fails at making the big ones.

You have said this too many damn times... It is completely false and just ignorant. Les has stated all along he will go over the luxury tax line for the right player... Obviously he, Daryl, Tad and others have yet to find that player...

And spending $8 million to buy three players isn't cheap... Sending cash to Memphis to cover Francis' salary and then some isn't cheap... Taking on Butler's contract in order to get Scola isn't cheap..

    Please just stop.

FYI I've never repped anyone with less than 300 post. Not because I'm not trying either!

Did it ever cross your mind that maybe Les didn't want to part with his dynamic duo?

And did anyone else jump on the chance to get Kobe?

Imagine if the Lakers didn't get Gasol. Kobe's legacy would have been destroyed.
