Anyone who doubts how awesome Hakeem was, check his Youtube video's. Enough said....

I left this thread and promised myself that I wouldn't post anymore because it is pointless to try and have a friendly argument with you.

But when you question my fan hood then I get pissed off. I live in Ohio where it is Cavs nation at its highest. All of my friends are Cavs fans and I am the only Rockets fan that I know here. It is not easy especially in a year that your team doesn't make the playoffs and you are in an area where that team has a very good chance for a title.

I could have just hopped on the Cavs bandwagon and started being a fake fan. But I rep my AB jersey around town and I never give up my fan hood because I love the Rockets. I am a Rockets fan for life and that is never gonna change.

So don't start calling me out and saying I'm a fake fan because I won't have any of it.

Your treason has been noted. No Rocket fan or NBA Fan would ever conceive that a player with a good scoring year and no playoff success was ever better than a player who won MVP, DPOY, and Finals MVP in the same year.

I'm sorry for calling you a fake fan, cause this an insult to fake fans. You are worse than that.

A Rocket fan would rather stand with Karl Malone, John Stockton, Mitch Kupchak, Gary Payton, Sam Perkins, Tracy McGrady, Scottie Pippen and Jason Terry in Mark Cuban's box watching the Mavs play than with you.

You threw all of Clutchfans under the bus. Even Tmac couldn't do that.

This was the whole thing that I was trying to explain. A guard can score much easier than a center can. You can shut down a center by simply double teaming him in the post but a guard can move around the whole court.

Hakeem is a better player than T-Mac by far and you can quote that but because of T-Mac's talent and because he is a guard. He can score a lot faster because he can't be stopped by shutting off an area of the court like a C.

    Do you understand now?

Hakeem will be a far more complete player than T-Mac can ever dream of. It is not even close how much better Hakeem was compared to T-Mac.

If you fail to understand this then you must have the IQ of a 2 year old because i can't make it any simpler.

You are probably the worst Rockets fan I have ever met especially because you can't just forget about the whole T-Mac failure experiment with the Rockets. One thing a fan needs to know how to do is move on and you have failed to do that. You will never be able to fully appreciate the Rockets because you are too busy thinking about T-Mac.

Sorry about your problem, you defnitely need physciatric help because it is not healthy to hold a grudge that long.

Great post. Too bad Dream couldn't teach you how to spell. "insparation?" "humbless?" "rememberd?" LOL Funny stuff

Seriously though, Hakeem was an inspiration to me too. My Dad started a company in the 90s called Applied Voice Recognition (talk instead of type computing) and Hakeem was our spokesman. It was fun getting to hang out with him, and you're right, he was humble. Especially when you compare him to aTmac. I still go to Dreams Car Wash on San Felipe from time to time to BS with his brother. Hakeem is the reason I love basketball as much as I do. Go Rockets!!!!!

GREAT post! someguy1229 is belligerent, and could be drunk, judging by his posts. Either that or he never watched Hakeem play a day in his life. Tmac could not take over a game better than Hakeem, not even remotely close. Hakeem impacted the game on both ends of the floor more than anyone else in the game, every game. He didn't take nights off like shemac either.

Hakeem is the farrrrr better player and will be known as one of the greatest big mans ever. But correct me if I am wrong, centers can be taken out of the games by double teams. This however cannot happen with a SG, right? See where I am going with this.

T-Mac is a scrub compared to Hakeem and I don't even like T-Mac, he is a selfish and ignorant person.

Your singular argument is that SG's can more easily have a high usage rate and are thus more able to dominate games. Is that correct?

How are you completely ignoring every other aspects of basketball such as defense, efficiency, team success? Do you even watch basketball?

EDIT* T-Mac finished 4th in the MVP voting in that supposed amazing 2002-2003 season. How can you even compare that to a season where Dream won MVP, DPOY and finals MVP?

We have been talking about offense the whole time, of course Hakeem is the better player all-around dumbass.

I swear you got dropped on your head when you were 3. Sorry that you are a special and can't participate in a conversation without forgetting what we are talking about.

Exactly, Hakeem is way better in all of that. Which is why he is one of the best players of all time. T-Mac never came close to any of that stuff in his career. T-Mac was a good offensive player and that is about it.

I don't want attention at all, you were the one who created a thread over all of this. This is not about Hakeem Olajuwon at all, it is another cleverly disguised T-Mac thread.

Naw, this is about the trend of fake fans who don't respect Rockets or NBA history. There's nothing wrong with admitting you never saw someone play, but there's something wrong if you compare the best player of that organization to someone who has accomplished nothing.

someone said you trolled purposely to evoke a response. I personally think your lack of knowledge is real and you are not a troll.

Man, this guy needs to get rookified like that one troll in the Dish that supported the Mavs, Lakers and Jazz. I think his moniker was Rockets94-95 or something.
