you get a boner when you hear that name.

I started a thread about Dwight vs Shaq and you go on and say that Tmac was better than both of them.

Then on top of that you said he was better than Hakeem.

That revokes your Houston Rockets fandom. I don't care if you paint your house red and walk around in Yao Ming pajamas.

The fact you praise an Orlando Magic player and team that did nothing over the greatest Rocket of all makes you a fake fan.

Hakeem's career was better, I guess you won't compute me saying this. You also said in the thread title, "Best Orlando Magic player ever?" I went on to say my opinion of the one I believe to be the best is T-Mac.

When you heard that name, you initiated T-Mac butt hurt mode and did what you always do when you hear the name that makes you cry at night.

    you derailed the thread.

My basis on putting them as the top two players was because they took their teams to the NBA Finals.

Your definition of 'best' is different from others.

why don't you start your own thread if you feel so strongly that this is wrong and have people vote on it?

I wish I had the power to ban all who think Tmac was better at any point than Olajuwon, but I don't have those powers.

Clutch is Dr Manhattan, not me.

Why don't you let people have their own opinions and leave it at that?

I never said you couldn't believe Shaq or Hakeem was better. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but you always seem to attack other peoples opinions.

you're right and I'm entitled to my opinion that your opinion is really a delusion.

if some was about to eat rat meat when you tell them it's steak I'm going to tell them that it's rat meat.

just when you say Tmac was better than Hakeem, to me, it's rat meat, so I have to tell others that rat meat isn't steak.

I'm going to tell people who never saw both Dream and Tmac play, that Dream was superior at any point. i'm trying to save the new fans from rat meat.

you can tell them it's steak all you want. i won't stop you.

He was probably one of the most unique centers. He didn't want to have a dominant personality and tried to stay humble and away from controversy, so he did not get as much media hype as someone more marketable. However, he was the consummate professional and teammate, just listen to kenny smith, mario elie or any of his teammates talk about him glowingly about how he literally carried them in his back and was never cocky about it once, just put in his work and went home. He was one of the most unique centers in NBA history with his dominant defense but incredibly versatile offense with soccer footwork and also once led to one of the 4 quadruple doubles in the nba history. Remember shaq even who people like to say was most dominant said he copied and learned many of his moves from 'lessons'(that we all witnessed in the falls of 1995) from Hakeem.

One of the only NBA players I can remember that led a team to a title in 1993-1994 with only role players and no number 2 or 2nd goto guy adn the stats of modern day including per back this up.

Hes a once in a lifetime star and I am definitely lucky we got to be apart of that in Houston, went to college here and he still whensoever he comes back to the states calls Houston his home

Wow, why ask a silly question?

Hakeem will always be the best Rocket ever. As every year passes, I don't realize it. I know it!

    DUDE QUIT IT!

How can you say that T-Mac (had he continued on a pace somewhat like in Orlando) could be more dominant and affect the game in more ways than HAKEEM??

That's just absurd. For those 32 points a night you know how many other guys stood around and did nothing? Just waiting for him to shoot one of his 25 shots a night? Yeah, you would never get that with Hakeem.

fans should realize that hakeem's status goes beyond basketball.

he brought back to back championships to the city of houston. no other houston teams before his rockets did it. and the only team to win anything was the comets. i believe cynthia cooper is now a HOFer.

dream's legacy is forever etched in houston's history.

    This.

I got to see him play, but I was 5 when the won the second title.

It isn't that his legend has fallen for me. But I didn't even get a chance to experience his legend.

You're insane. This is the single-most absurd proposition I've ever read on this board, and that includes every post I've ever read in the D&D.

    Lol, win.

"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to tinman again."

I can't fathom that anyone actually thinks this. Someguy is either 12-15yo and therefore idolizes scoring champs due to the perceived glamor in a title that rarely, if ever, means anything or just doesn't know a thing about basketball and therefore idolizes scoring champs due to the perceived glamor in a title that rarely, if ever, means anything.

And to make an attempt to get back on track, Dream is the most versatile player ever at any position, which is what made him so damn fun to watch. That he was a center who retired #6 or 7 all-time in STEALS of all things reinforces this argument.

Or I am just someone with an opinion. It's not the fact that I don't think Hakeem was good enough. I just think SG's have an unfair advantage of scoring more points with the 3 point line. That is why I think all of this. T-Mac had like 45 40 point games in that span of his prime. Which is pretty insane if you think about it.

Again, I am not trying to offend anyone on this board, I just think SG's can take over games better than C's.

Why do I feel like this is just a shameless attempt to get rep by the OP?

I mean, what's the point of this?

It's like asking...."Who would you rather have as MVP - a Rocket or a Jazz player?"

or actually, "Would you still be a Rockets fan if Tinman didn't post these kinda threads?"
