As of today, May 24, 2013, is Chandler Parsons untouchable?

Close to it but Morey would trade anything if it lands him a second productive big name to hang his hat on.

Parsons is the most valuable asset the team currently has, even more so then Harden because of his contract and the flexibility it offers with a near all star caliber player. It would take the right deal to get Morey to let Parsons go and if it was up to McHale he never would.

That being said, Parsons fans should probably get used to the idea of him not being a Rocket after next season because he plays as well as he did in this last one and Morey hasn't secured a big name on par with Howard or Paul, then he is likely to gamble Parsons away to try to beat the house (NBA).

Morey said pretty candidly in an interview like last month that everyone is tradable except Harden.

 

Would you do Parsons + Lin + Asik in a SnT for CP3 if we were able to get Dwight as a FA signing?

i personally think it would be worth just sticking with Dwight + what we have, but still interesting to think about.

 

By TJ do you mean Terrance Jones? That boy can't play the SF position, did you watch him in the regular season, he is a power forward through and through.

 

That means he will pull the trigger to get both Chris Paul and Dwight Howard. :grin:

 

And I think they can get Chris Paul in a sign and trade move.

I'd trade parson only cause we'd pay hefty for his new contract with Jlin's poison pill contract and Jhard'S max contract. Rockets need a shot blocker.

 

Parsons is NOT untouchable

 

The closest thing to untouchable is Harden, and Morey would still deal him in a NY minute for a player like Durant or Lebron.

Parsons is a high value trade piece for sure, but untouchable? Not even close...

 

Morey would trade Parsons for a mid 1st rd draft pick if he need cap space for a third star. I really like Parsons attitude & play but I expect him to be gone 2 years from now.

 

Morey would deal Parsons for pretty much any 2009 lottery pick.

 

This is a great question because it really separates the fanboys from the realists.

Parsons is not untouchable. Not even close.

I like Parsons a lot. He is a very versatile role player and a great value. Will he be on an NBA All Star team one day? I would say no. So if an "All-Star" calibre talent (and value) is available Morey would move Parsons in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the rep and the name-callin but the truth is the truth. Harden is a former 6th man who plays 0 defense and depends on ref's call in his penetration game&average playmaker, whereas Rose, is a former youngest MVP who, can play both defense, playmake, while dunking on bigmen and flying sky high blocking shots and being freaking unguardable during penetration. Rose's athleticism is Harden on steroids.
