Is this guy really only 220 lbs (according to his nba.com bio). The accompanying full-length picture makes him look much bulkier than that.
have you seen the kid play? he's a pretty good rebounder. and the slow white guy comment? he's white but he's far from slow. offensively he's a bit of train wreck, but the guy is insanely athletic but he seems to play out of control at times.
I have seen the kid play. He is a pretty good rebounder when nobody boxes him out. He will snatch boards here and there. But most of the times i have seen him playing, he was out of position to get any rebound. He look confused and got pushed around in the paint wihtout a fight. He cant shoot nor he has any offensive moves to go by his defender. He has crazy athletic ability, but he is not utilizing it very well.
I have a friend that played in the same division as Chris did. Chris played for Iola, but my friend said he was just tall. He had no skills, just height and could jump alittle.
All the negative comments come as a bit of a surprise. I have only seen him play with the Nuggets and against the Rockets but the guy was an athletic freak in those games jumping higher and quicker than just about anyone on the court. He sure as hell looked like a pretty damn good rebounder to me and a tireless defender. The words energizer bunny comes to mind when I here the name Chris Anderson. I can't help but think all of the bad comments on him is nothing more than stereotypical racism.
I played this dude when he was at blinn a few years back, he is more DUMB than Shaq and Paris Hilton if they had a kid together!!! I do remember he did have good NRG....but really really DUMB!!!
That's uncalled for. To accuse people of being racist for making valid criticisms of a player you have only watched four times max is not only offensive, it's downright stupid. Chris Anderson has very little skill offensively. He's foul prone defensively. He has good leaping ability, and blocks shots in bunches. He's a highlight reel dunker. He goes after the ball, but doesn't position himself well for rebounds. He's not worth anything more than the minimum.
I live in Colorado and the Nuggets want to resign him because of his hustle and energy off the bench. That being said we could use someone that comes off the bench and actually wants to rebound , block shots, and run the floor. Sign him!!
