Yes. She is worthless when it comes to reporting.

It's a good thing her analysis is so spot on.

If Melo is leaving NY, the Rockets have the best chance of anybody to get him (if getting rings is his priority). Anthing else being reported is a buch of walking bs, except for whatever comes from Woj.

Chicago is definitely not better than Houston at this point, not with a wounded Rose, who might never be the same.

We are going to sign Melo, then somehow trade Parsons with his agreement to Minny for Love with whatever else it takes to get the job done....no matter how much everyone hates to trade Parsons.

The loser will be Lebron who ends up stuck in Miami on a team that can't win it all, or he ends up on a team that has to gut their team to sign him to the max...while still not being able to beat a Rockets team of:

    Bev
    Harden
    Melo
    Love
    Howard

I don't even know if capwise this is possible, but this would the unofficial dream team sans Lebron.

It will work IF Parsons agrees. We clear Lin plus a few more to get to 20 million to sign Melo which is just below his max, but enough for him to take because he shouldn't be paid more than Dwight anyway...only Lebron should if we were getting him.

Then we can sign Parsons to 11 or 12 million per year, add in any leftover contracts to get to the 15 mil for Love, add in 3 first round picks including the NO pick, give them a couple of our overseas prospects..and wala..it's done...as long as Lala agrees.

Of course Minny has to want to pay Parsons 11 or 12 million per year, but if they want him as reported, they must be willing to pay more than what we would for him if they expect him to want to agree to the sign and trade, which would be required for him to agree to. No way Parsons agrees to it if he feels it's what the Rockets will pay themselves. He would have to feel that he is getting way more money out of the deal than he could otherwise get, or why leave a potential championship team of Howard, Melo and Harden?

I don't think we get Lowry at all. I would be highly surprised, although pleased. Surprised that Morey visited him first. Kind of telling Bev, "hey, we don't think you can improve enough to be our starting PG no matter who else we add to this team." IMHO

Is it some type of message that the Knicks drafted a guy named CLEARANTHONY EARLY?

NY reporter believing Melo wants NY? I am SHOCKED! I never knew ESPN write stuff like this. :p

Seriously though. At this point why would Phil Jackson even want Melo? He's going to take up like 1/3 of their capspace, giving them little room to woo FAs next year.

Anthony can get more money in NY and the "family situation" stays status quo. Those 2 items might mean an awful lot to him. Chances of winning/Ring might be much, much worse, but perhaps that is not as high on his needs list.

Rockets can get close in salary (because I don't think NY will give him the max). And the Rockets have a chance to win/Ring. But if the family situation is an issue...that could be a stumbling block no one (Bulls/Rockets) can overcome.

However, according to two sources, Anthony’s wife, La La Vasquez, also a Brooklyn native, is very happy in New York and is opposed to Melo leaving the Knicks. He became a free agent for the first time in his career at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, but Anthony said in a video interview posted last week he’s worried about uprooting his family and 7-year-old son, Kiyan.

“There’s reason to believe he’s staying,’’ said one individual with ties to Anthony’s inner circle. “There’s just too much money out there. He’s doing to the right things, though. He’s got to make the rounds.’’

The Bulls face an uphill climb in clearing the necessary cap space to make a competitive offer. The Knicks can offer Anthony a starting salary of $22.5 million in the first year of a five-year deal. The Bulls’ best chance is by convincing Jackson to execute a sign-and-trade, but the Knicks don’t have to cooperate.

For the Bulls to get near the $22.5 million figure — and only for four years — they’d have to trade power forward Taj Gibson, among making other moves.
“The head coach doesn’t want to trade Taj,’’ one source familiar with the Bulls’ thinking told The Post.

“Everywhere I’m hearing is Melo still is a lot about the money,’’ one NBA source said. “That’s why people think he’ll end up in New York.’’

Honestly... this deal will say ALOT about Melo as an NBA Player (if we didn't already know them.)

Does he want to be a winner?

That's the NY way. They've been screwing themselves for years now when it comes to cap space.

Melo has to man up and make the decision he wants to make in his heart... if he does that i can respect him on that.
