As Carmelo Anthony leans toward leaving New York, Chicago and Houston emerge as frontrunners

Just heard Tim Legler talking on sportscenter. He was talking about how George Karl has stated that Melo was at his best when he got his points in transition. Legler went on to say that they didn't know why the NY offense didn't take advantage of it as well as Melo being a great catch and shoot player. Ive always thought Lebron would be a perfect fit but Melo sounds like he would fit perfectly in this offense too. Either way, if we can land one of the two I would be escatic.

 

Melo might be a better fit for our offense in terms of his catch and shoot ability, but Lebron could do wonders for our defense.

 

I should clarify, Lebron could do wonders for our defense paired with Dwight

 

If Melo is a better fit than LeBron for an offense, it's time to change that offense.

 

I agree with you that Lebron would be a huge addition to this defense. Him paired with Beverly and Dwight would arguably be a lineup of the best defenders in the league at their positions. I was just a little surprised that Melo sounded like a perfect fit for this offense (especially when the "fit" is highly talked about). Again, would be ecstatic to land either.

 

Just to add to the fun that is the offseason, apparently today is LALA's birthday.

Does she perhaps ask Melo to sign with the city of her liking for her birthday wish?

I like the fact that Carmelo will VISIT Houston. That way he can see the CITY and have the visit on Houston's turf.

 

He says Melo is visiting, that means Lebron is visiting.

 

I think at somepoint I compared how he did at PF against LMA and BG against how TJones did at PF against them, I have no Idea what page of this thread they are on tho...
