I think if they offer Parsons close to the max, he'll go. Love's contract would be the reason why I don't think Morey does this deal. Unless he gives us his word that he'll re-sign, this is too big a risk. One mishap, perhaps some injuries go against our way, perhaps we lose in the first round again, and we could have a nightmare next offseason.

Melo playing hard to get with his own girl? I mean if it's NY, what's there to think about?

Far too fishy, unless it's simply to keep the suspense. Understandable, if so. Makes it fun.

Or he doesn't want to make it painfully obvious to the public that he's all about the money.

"I took time to think...", etc. But, he's in the wrong era to think in such a way.

Harden played with Russel Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka in OKC.
In Houston, Harden still had a much more talented team than Minnesota.
Houston had Omar Asik, Dwight Howard, Terrance Jones, Chandler Parsons and Jeremy Lin.

I believe it was Russel Westbrook and Kevin Durant that led the Thunder when Harden was on the Thunder.
In Houston, it was a combination of effort by the whole team, and when they made the playoffs, the Rockets did not accomplish much.

    Beverley
    Harden
    LeBron/Carmelo
    Love
    Dwight.

It's still feasible with Lin going to Philly. And Parsons, picks and young players going to Minnesota.

Morey has always cashed in the chips in the past and with the Rockets collection of fantastic assets and all of the options the Rockets are involved in I see it being no different. Be patient the Asik deal isn't official until July 10th.
