As Carmelo Anthony leans toward leaving New York, Chicago and Houston emerge as frontrunners

Melo will never win a ring if he stays with the Knicks.

 

It's comfortable, he'll be making tons of cash, and NY is used to not having a winner.

I think after Parsons gets paid, that he will become more Shane Battier like. Coming out of Duke, Shane had real promise from the offensive end, but he decided to focus on the defensive end. This team will improve if Chandler becomes defensively what he was his rookie year.

Harden won't play defense, he just doesn't seem to care. Defense is about pride, and apparently pride isn't in Harden's blood.

To get back on subject, Melo and Chandler as interchangeable 3/4's will cause so many issues.

I wouldn't hate him. He's from New York and his family wants to be there. Totally understandable.

Woj is well in with management. That looks like a NY perspective, rather than a player/player groupie perspective.

If Melo is about winning, he will pick the Rockets.

I don't think so. It's a different situation from Howard's recruitment last year. We absolutely needed Howard. Rockets don't NEED melo. Adding him would be an embarrassment of riches.

If he comes, great. If he doesn't, that's great too.

 

Maybe Melo is just comfortable with Phil Jacksons plan to S&T him to Houston

The knicks didnt make the playoffs in the east, added a rookie coach and lost tyson chandler. Calderon is good but I'm not seeing it.

Well Melo clearly doesn't care about winning, or rather that's not anywhere near the top on his list of priorities so the fact that the Knicks are going to be awful doesn't really matter. Melo wants to stay in NY and he wants that max deal and that's what he'll get.
