the best thing we have going for us is that we are in the best position of any team (not named the Spurs) to win a championship if Melo or Bron come on board. That's got to count for something.

I guess Morey really did want Lowry back a whole lot. Well I do see the Suns are talking SNT with The Pacers.

Sorry if already posted but Dime Magazine was reporting that Derrick Rose worked out in front of Carmelo when he went to the meeting in Chicago to prove that he was healthy

We're not getting Melo, but we'll get someone else so we haven't lost at all.

The cold I would think implies Chicago and NY. They aren't Charlie Sheenin at the moment. I take that as "winning" which is the phrase that Sheen is most famous for. I think he is saying that right now, Houston may be in the lead. Right now...although he makes it clear that this is just the opinion of one of Melo's "brothers". A person that is tight with him.

I wonder if he felt embarrassed. All of that talk about he won't recruit and doesn't recruit, then having to put on a private workout for someone just to show that he's ok.

I'll take with a grain of salt that he also put the clippers over the rockets in teams that Lebron would pursue playing for if he left Miami.

Melo dropped a hint on draft night. It's either Rockets red or Bulls red. I like our chances.

If anything this is either about Melo leaving NY. They lost one. The fame etc. would be in NY. Business, winning, being a champion, would be here.

ROSE DID NOT WORK OUT FOR MELO. Alex Kennedy was the source, and other less than reputable outlets are running with his report.

Yeah, I've been saying the same thing, I think the more likely scenario is that a "regularly scheduled" workout was timed to coincide with Carmelo's visit. Just from what we know about Rose, it's highly unlikely that he'd be ok with the organization saying to him "Carmelo's people would like for you to conduct a private workout", but rather "Derrick, Carmelo will be at the facility on this date/time, do you mind if he watches some of your workout?".

The fact that Rose didn't attend the dinner lends credence to the fact that Rose was merely operating on his own schedule.

What if the Rockets trolled us all and traded Jeremy Lin right after Melo finished his meeting with LA? This place would go nuts.
