Last year. They were also terrible when Lowry went out, last year. Come to think of it, this year too.
Actually Yao went down that Laker's series, and Brooks stepped up and became the closer for us. Artest didnt contribute too much. So it's easy to assume Brooks lead us in our finest hour. If the Laker's are the champs, and we're trying to win a championship, then how do you trade the only player that gives you a chance to beat them?
sometimes i think aaron brook's attitude is dragging this team down. sometimes i think he purposely plays like crap to get under adleman's skin. im not saying this is true or anything, cause what the fuck do i know? Im not a part of rocket's management. but i felt things went downhill ever since brooks asked for that extension.
Do you really believe this. Geez. What garbage. Brooks is a professional he's not going to slack off just to piss off his coach. That would be his own career he was throwing away not Adelman's. And he knows it.
even professionals can be jerks. just ask michael jordan. im assuming anyway, and i really dont know what the situation is, but this can be a fact for all we know. then ab starts having good games out the blue could also mean that he is playing good to impress other teams if the rockets do in fact trade brooks.
Coming back from injury he sucked so bad. I mean getting owned by Patty Mills on every play was the worst performance I have seen from a Rocket this season. However once he gains his form back the team will no doubt be more potent offesively. Brooks is another guy besides Martin and Scola who can give us 20 points every night.
Replace Martin with AB and I undoubtedly like that group more. Those guys have all been Rockets for quite awhile, and I can't help it, I just love them. They all play hard and have some really special talents. Scola's low post moves are truly a thing of beauty; Lowry has blossomed into such a great all-around player; Chuck's defensive abilities are so impressive for a guy his height...These guys can't help it that Yao got injured yet again. I like some of our new/bench players as well, particularly Patterson. Lee's defensive effort is refreshing...but I also find myself facepalming over his missed layups and unclutch plays a lot. Jordan and Chase are honestly just meh for me. Anyway, not saying I wouldn't trade our long timers for the right talent that will improve our team. But I still really like them and appreciate what they give our team.
I say we're slightly better given Lowry's improvement and some added depth with Pat. But at the end of the day, we're still the same mediocre team that's either going to barely make the playoffs or finish with a projected 14th lottery pick
Brooks looks sensational when he is hot and there are nights when he can singlehandedly destroy a team. But he's a mixed bag, kinda like Monta Ellis. Unfortunately, he's only hot about every third game. If that's your alpha dog, your team is in trouble, which we are. Love Brooks but until he learns how to get to the line, all his hot shooting doesn't offset for his off nights that water down his efficiency.
