Still don't like 'em. Don't understand the respect for Sloan - he was the coach of a team of floppers and one of his best players was a cheap shot artist. Did he ever do anything about that? Nope. Screw him.
Year before last I really started to like The Jazz. They were fun to watch. Before last year with the acqusistions of Boozer and Okur plus the emergence of Arroyo, to go along with AK' s outrageous overall game and spirit, I expected alot from them. Unfortuately then everything went to crap. So to answer the question, I definitely do not hate them anymore. I did like them for a brief time... Now I am waiting to see. So kinda in between being indifferent and liking them. If that answers the question.
I haven't seen them much since Malone and Stockton left. The reasons I hated them before was the flopping by everyone, and the dangerous play by Malone. Do they still flop as bad as they used to? BTW, since the Spurs were brought up, yes I hate them now. I like Duncan, and obviously Horry, but I detest Ginobili. That bast**d fouls on every play of every 4th quarter and the refs just swallow their whistles because he "plays hard". In Ginobili's case, playing hard means out of control - charging on offensive drives badly and fouling when guarding the dribbler. Take away that officiating advantage and who knows if the Spurs are a great 4th quarter team? The reason it ticks me off is because we have the smoothest, best, and most in-control guard/forward in the NBA in McGrady, and the Spurs can partially nullify that advantage with the half as talented Ginobili whose career will most definitely be cut short when he impales himself on a scorer's table microphone while simultaneously diving into the crowd and commiting a horrendous and uncalled defensive foul. Am I a little bitter? Also, another quick question... Who hates the NBA officiating? Need I remind anyone of JVG's little incident last year? That definitely deserves a poll if anyone wants to start it.
I just hated short shorts Stockton, flopper Malone, and wipe the brow Hornacek. I kinda like AK and Sloan, though. My most hated now shifts to that pansy Argentine Ginobili and Tim the Turtle Duncan. Oh yeah, and screw Greg Pockmockovich.
The only team I hate as an organization is the Lakers. Whoever is playing against them is my second favorite team. The only team I love as an organization is the Rockets. Whoever is a threat to the Rockets is my enemy. Other than that, my like and dislike follow people, not teams.
i will still always hate them but i do have respect for sloan and how his teams are already competitive and efficient. plus i do like deron williams out of illinois but if someone said i could get away with burning down the delta center i would do it in a heartbeat.
Gotta agree with you here. I'll always have some lingering hate/fear of the Sonics from back in the day. GP...Sam Perkins...they KILLED us...I'll never forget the 93 playoffs...brutal Luckily they beat themselves a couple of times for us
We lost to Jazz because of Barkley. Barkley was brought in for against seattle. It worked perfectly, But Barkley's ego cost Rocket's championship. He Kept asking ball repeatly to play one on one against Malone, He almost lost the fight every time. and ignored Dream and Clide, whom Jazz had no answer at all. Because He is a superstar, Rudy could not do anything about it. What a pity! I am still hurting. Please do not bring the old Jazz to this board anymore!
Living in SLC I HATE the Jazz. I just heard the replay of Stockton's shot in game 6 of the 97 WCF for the 1st time this season. If I hear it one more time I am going to vomit. Couple that with the fact that around here local perception of Karla and Flopton sets the standard for every other player in the league. Johnny was a boy scout who could do no wrong and Karla just as noble. Karl Malone!!! I'll hate the Jazz at least as long as I live...
PLEASE!!! I'll hate the Jazz till the day I die, and it warms my heart when they struggle....but of coarse I'm glad they beat the Mavs tonight
Ok, I hate them a little... you decide how little based on this: I wish death upon their souls, and wrath upon their lives, Despair and disgrace on their families, rabies on their dogs and to never be able to finish watching an episode of the Simpsons. As a country singer said: FOREVER AND EVER, AMEN. ^ how was that?
No, I never hated the Jazz. I was a Jazz fan before I was a Rockets fan, and I still like Sloan, he's a great coach. But I'm pretty much indifferent to their current crop of players, they made a pretty idiotic trade to bring back Ostertag, not sure what that was about. I know under Sloan they'll always play hard, but I have no idea if they have the talent to really be a contender any time soon, it seems like right now the answer is no, but we'll see. Oh, and I'm with Easy, I've been a Laker hater for as long as I've followed the NBA, and after last year's brief discomfort of rooting against Rudy T's team, I can go back to full-fledged hate with Coach Big Chief Triangle back in town.
