As a basketball player, would you rather be a lock-down defender or the main scorer?

Moreso in handegg and base, where scoring isn't inevitable. But in peachbucket extra shots and the things that facilitate them, rebounds and assists, win championships.

 

In a game that is about putting the ball in a basket, I want to be the one that is good at putting the ball in the basket.

 

Money considered, main scorer. Money not considered, main scorer. Nowhere in the OP did it say that the main scorer could not also be a decent defender.
