I wouldn't call Isiah Thomas the definite best player in the league in the late 80's.

uh I think he meant Michael Jordan and the Bulls.

BTW Who would rate inclusion on the All-Star, All-Time greatest whacko team by position?

I think Vernon Maxwell would rate up there 1st or 2nd team at shooting guard.

Of course, Rodman rates serious consideration.

Center? Wilt lived an outlandish lifestyle but not sure he was crazy.

Point guard? Isiah was intense but I'm not sure he rates inclusion.

and Coach? George Karl is a bit edgy. Phil meditates. JVG is intense but probably not over the edge.

Rodman is a smart guy. He knows what he needs and how to get people's attention. I am not sure Artest has that intelligence in him. From the way he acts and speaks, he is just plain dumb and crazy.

You said "multiple" championships. I always find it amazing how people measure player success by the number of championships they won. By that measure Horry and Kerr are the most successful role players in recent history. But lots of players could have replaced them and had the same results.

You missed the point. Acquiring a player like Dennis Rodman doesn't always blow up in one's face. It can prove to be beneficial to a team.

C: Daryl Dawkins of planet Lovetron
    PF: Rodman
SF: JR Rider (barely, over Artest)
    SG: Mad Max
    PG: Rod Strickland, I guess.
