i think ron, yao, and scola lead the league in getting shots blocked. that's not a very good statistic.

landry needs to sit them down, slap them around, and say, DUNK THE DAMN BALL.

Let's collect funds to raise his FG%.

I'm willing to donate some money into a paypal account...

his % is mostly due to yao's presence inside the paint.

if you look at his hot spots last year you will discover that his mid range shot is poor, he just had more space to operate down low. playing alongside jump shooters in brad miller and mikki moore opened up more space for him in the post.

have you guys noticed that when we drive inside, yao doesn't get out of the way in time. this is due to his mobility and also the "dominant low post player" van gundy instilled in him

All he needs to do is pass the ball to raise his %...take less shots....

Quit isolating Artest. Watching him try to beat his opponent off the dribble is painful to watch. IMO a pick and roll is probably better since theres a chance of creating a mismatch with a slower defender. Also, I'm curious on how the Kings used on him offensively?

Ron's shooting has really been horrible. He loves the 3 point shot, but he doesn't hit them consistently. I would think he needs pressure in order to hit shots.

To be honest, Battier's return somehow made Battier seem like a better offensive player than Ron. I know this isn't true, but Battier is one terrific spot up shooter who'll get some points here and there with a very high FG%. Ron so far, has just been chucking up shots unfortunately.

Hopefully, McGrady can get healthy and dish out some nice assists to get Ron in the system. However, as of now, Artest is taking just way too many shots. He can and will get to the rim, but his finishing ability so far is no better than Alston.

    Very simple.

To raise Artest's FG percentage, he should quit taking any kind of face up jump shot off the dribble. It is his worst shot. If he is going to face up he should catch and shoot only. And if he isn't open on the catch, he should swing the ball or put it on the floor and go to the rim and look for the layup or pass off. The worst shot in basketball is one of his favorites, that being, the long 20 footer, inside the 3 point line, coming up off the dribble and most of the time he's fading off a defender to get it off. Ron is just not a good shooter off the dribble.

He is a career low percentage shooter. I don't get why everyone is so surprised. He will hover around the low 40%.

McGrady coming back + a Healthy Shane Battier = Ron Artest as 6th man.

Ron working with the 2nd unit will give him more space 2 work with because Yao won't be there clogging up the middle. This should and hopefully lead to his FG % rising.

Once again people debated about his past numerous times.

I say he will make dumb decisions on the court as well as he has off.
So far he has taken a great deal of bad stats.

Will we ever see people diss on him as they do Yao and TMac?
Around here probably not, we will just hear how he's hard.

Don't blame injuries, he was the #1 option in Sac and did fine.

Don't blame him being a start vs. a 6th man. One, he's been a starter. B, he plays with the second unit plenty.

Now, I don't believe he'll be this ineffective all year. I do believe his ankle is limiting him a little. I also believe, he just needs to calm down a little. He makes Luther seem silky smooth.

The sad thing is that career wise Ron is very strong when driving to the rack. Remember our game against them last year?? the Novak shot? Artest almost single handedly brought the kings back to win because we could not stop him from getting to the hole.

If we work Ron with the 2nd unit, we got nobody defending Paul Pierce in finals because PP does't work with the 2nd unit.

If Ron can't score, he must restrain PP.

Maybe it's because Yao is clogging up the lane? His shots were aweful today.

It also looks like he has lost his confidence in his offensive game today. But seriously, this year is an anomoly so far if you look at Ron Ron's career FG% stats. Except for one year in his career, he is always a 40%+ in FG%.

I think Adelman and the Rockets coaching staff need to look at why Ron Ron's FG% is so bad this year. With all the talent on this team and the open looks he gets as a result of our talent, this should be Ron Ron's best year in FG%, not his worst.

He is black hole on offense right now. A player would usually get out of his funk by now. What's wrong with him?
