LA doesn't need another PF, they need a PG in the worst way.

    How about:

    Brooks
    Battier
    Hayes
    Jeffries

    for

    Bynum
    Artest
Caracter or Ebanks (throw-in to balance roster)

I'd rather keep Hayes and offer Hill. How about using Yao? That would be big savings for them

Bynum would be nice, except we would be stuck watching him in a suit for half a season.

he already was slow, he's even slower!

He was already not a very good shooter and now he's even worse. Went 1-10 against the Kings two games ago!

No please. Artest would still fail to fill our biggest void, a defensive presence in the middle. At this point the void in the middle is still a bigger need then a defensive wing.

The guy would chuck the team out of contention night in and night out. Bynum is seriously worthless, I'd rather have Oden when it's all said and done.

That might actually not be so bad to get Artest for Battier. I think they do that too.

But, I fear the Artest-Battier-Hayes-Lowry offensive combination. Yikes.

i voted no, but the more i think about it...i say yes. like someone else said its not my money. hes interesting, would bring some toughness, at times can work well in the offense and can fire up some of the other guys on this team. it seems this team needs a spark lit under its ass and artest might help do that. only thing is we have no bad contracts to swap for him, defintely would not do it for scola or lowry, if i saw either of those 2 doin work for the lakers i would spontaneously combust.

I voted "NO" & was surprised to see so many said "YES". Artest's on the down hill slope now, defensively as well as offensively. He shoots worse than he did with us. Oh, he makes an occasional clutch shot every now & then, but he'll still shoot you out of a game more time than not.
