Where do we get bigger? It's not like the suits on the bench can get any larger with Yao wearing them.
We don't need a forward who will decide as often as not to just start jacking up ill-advised shots, and kill the offense. I like Ron, but he's not what the team needs.

Ummmm Bynum 7 foot whatever versus Chuck Hayes being 6'6. That guy Ron Artest is pretty solid, big too.
Ron is my favorite NBA player... not for play, just cuz he's awesome. But he does nothing for the Rockets. I hate to say that but it's true
Since you didn't get it, those 7 feet don't matter when they're wearing a suit. Yao's proven that quite well.
Id do it, but Id be kicking and screaming.... Bynum is more fragile thatn Yao. Combine that with our "suspect' medical/traiining staff.... idk. You move Scola though, and you can put Chuck back at the 4 to start in front of Hill... Til bynum gets hurt at least.
Wouldn't be opposed to taking Ron back given the right trade. Ron brings the toughness and nightly energy that this team needs. Lets not forget, Ron was on the last Rockets team to make the playoffs.
Absolutely, without a doubt, the single worst trade idea, posted on this board, since the beginning of the season. No offense.
To each his own. I'd be willing to take a gamble on Andrew Bynum. At 7 ft. 285 lbs., he immediately fills the void at center. He's battled knee injuries, but he's only 23 years old, and has shown periods of low-post dominance in his young career. The "good guy" spiel in defense of Battier isn't cutting it. He's not the defender he was 2-3 years ago, and he's entirely inept on the other end of the floor. He's too timid to pull the trigger in the flow of the offense, can't attack of the dribble, or finish at the rim. Artest's game has also rapidly declined, but I prefer his toughness + go-getter attitude. I think a return to Houston would re-energize him, and he would become hungrier than ever after having tasted success with LA. We're going nowhere fast with the current roster. Bynum appears to be available at the right price, and the Lakers would salivate at the thought of receiving Scola. He's arguably as valuable as he'll ever be, so why hang on to him and continue to rot in the cellar of the division. If you have a better suggestion, please share. Hayes + Bynum frontline would be a defensive force, and Andrew's mere presence in the paint would create many more opportunities for our perimeter players, and we still have Hayes' exceptional passing skills at the high post. Remember, Bynum's still an unfinished product. Plus, Morey would still have Brooks, Budinger, and Yao's expiring at his disposal.
He's still owed 26 MILLION for 4 more more years!!! He's already slower and shooting worse! Now you want to keep him till he's 35!?!
I only want him to come back so he can honor us a promise he made, I remember he said if the Rockets lost to the Lakers in the playoffs he would go work at Mcdonalds or Burgerking for a day.... I'm still waiting....
I think the Lakers make that trade if its on the table. Don't know if it works cap wise, I wouldnt want Artest at this production level
