I was trying to set up a potential rotation and depth chart for the Rockets this year, and it has become clear with the addition of Artest we have so many interchangeable parts its really amazing!!! check it out we could have potentially at Pg: Alston/ Brooks /Barry/ Francis/ T Mac.....(head) Sg: T Mac /Artest/ Barry/Battier/ Francis.. (head) Sf: Battier/ Artest/ Barry/ T Mac /....(mike harris) Pf: Scola/Artest/ Dorsey/Hayes/Landry? ..(mike harris) C: Yao/ Deke?/Dorsey Thats alot of interchangeable parts!!!....I still would like to see the Rockets get a "young" BIG at least 6'10- 6'11 that can play 4 and 5 with leaping ability and good agility (a scorer isnt nessacary) ,also a point guard like brevin knight that knows nothing but passing with decent quicks..... In any event....HOUSTON ROCKETS will be WORLD CHAMPS 09 10 11
A pretty decent article from a Kings writers perspective on what the team will be like without Ron next year... Here's what the Kings will miss in Ron Artest
Good post. Exciting stuff, except for the fact it really highlights our weakness at Center. I don't like saying it - BUT IF Yao goes down again we are stuffed. BTW, it's no doubt been mentioned somewhere, but we now have 3 RA's on our team. Could be confusing at times on the BBS.
Let me ask you rocket fans a question. What happens when you guys lose in the playoffs because Artest is going to ask for a max contract. Would trading t-mac be the next step while he still has some value.
let me ask you a question, when your team is in the lottery for the next 5 years what is there to do in sac town besides pass laws banning you from doing stuff?
you jumped from point a to point z in like 3 words. why would the rockets lose in the playoffs if artest asks for a max contract then? why would he not ask for a contract earlier in the year? would he just stop playing during the playoffs if the rockets didn't want to talk contracts until the year was over? does he have a history of quiting on his team in the playoffs?
Good God the posts in this thread makes me feel ashamed to be Chinese. Dude, this is an English forum so you post in English. If you wanted discussions in Chinese, just move on to another site, like hoopchina or something. (btw, that's a great site.) Typing stuff that other people don't understand is not really respectable and what kind of satisfaction do you get out of it?
Ron is definitely a great player and could do giant help for Rox. I hope that he enjoy his stay in houston. And I also hope that this rox could bring an exciting 08-09 season to its fans. Good luck Ron and Rox.
Where is pryuen these days? I bet all of you scared him off with the disrespect you showed him. Come back pryuen! I miss the daily updates on yao and the chinese articles.
whatever dude. that guy pulled a 'brett favre' claiming to retire for family life, but he appears. your slacker azz doesn't pay attention like steve novak on defense.
Rick Adelman can sit back , relax, and tell the Maloof brothers " revenge is a meal best served cold".
lmao I never thought anyone would ever compare pryuen to favre. does this mean you secretly think he's MVP of the board or maybe "most prolific poster of all time" surpassing Dan Marino?
I personally think that we gave up way too much for a small upgrade to Battier with a huge down-side. We gave up 2 first round draft picks and probably our leading scorer off the bench next year. Yes, they're late round picks, but I think you can get a good starting point gaurd for what we sent to Sac!
small upgrade to battier? when has battier averaged 20 ppg and been named DPOY? and who is this leading scorer off the bench you speak of?
