You have to realize that next year's draft is not as deep as this years draft. Bobby Jackson was going to be used to get either a Mike Miller or a Ron Artest. CHECK Donte Greene ....yes we lost him but Rockets needed a third scorer more than a bench guy that they needed to develop. From all perspectives it looks like a win.
Not even in the least. We are rebuilding and have no use for Artest. Dont get me wrong i hope you beat LA or Utah. Sac-town coming back for the crown that was robbed from them by the refs in 02. All we want is cap room to make big moves in the near future. Josh Smith could end up a King next year.
Well I can see where you're coming from. It's sort of fun watching a young team develop. It will be especially interesting to watch Donte Greeene. But... that's about it. As for the W-L outcome... I'd rather be a Rocket fan right now.
Kings will have the big cap space in the next year or 2 depending on when we can move Miller. Signing Josh Smith will be no big deal.
I don't know how much similarities this has...but The last big three we had were Drexler, Hakeem, and Barkley Yao and Hakeem----both drafted #1 by rockets Drexler and Tmac--both all-star SGs Barkley and Artest- both headcases that were traded...but we gave alot less for artest. lol i thought it was funny
The problem isn't cap space, it's the fact that there is a chance that Smith can be sign and traded, and not just take the qualifying offer.

I would like to see them make another trade this offseason. Rockets trade Luther Head Orlando trades J.J. Redick I think J.J. Redick would be a perfect fit under Rick Adelman. Adelman works much of his offense off of screens and pick and roll, providing space for the shooter. That is the kind of offense that J.J. Redick used in college and made him successful. My feeling is when Barry retires you have your pure shooter coming off the bench in Redick.
