I was absolutely floored when I saw this deal announced. Never ever would I welcome someone as insane (read crazy) as Artest. I DO NOT LIKE THIS DEAL! I WILL NEVER LIKE THIS DEAL. They certainly had me fooled: I was convinced that Morey had learned from the pitfalls of Rockets history over the past 30 years that making deals for guys like this never work out. Instead, he pulls a CD on me and trades this team's soul for a deal with the devil. And when you deal with the devil, the devil wins every time. Morey was doing a really great job - he was moving this team in the right direction. He did not need to do something as potentially catastrophic as this.

This breaks my heart. I am now faced with a situation that I never expected to come to pass: I have to examine what I believe in and whether or not I can continue to to follow this team while he's on the roster - that's how strongly I dislike this guy. To me, it's the equivalent of the Cowboys going out and picking up a thug like Pacman Jones who's being cheered loudly every day by the Cowsheep fans who are perfectly willing to sacrifice their beliefs in a vain attempt at winning. We used to laugh at them on this board. Well now, we have become what we once mocked. Well, at least they saved me $200 because I definitely won't be getting NBA League Pass this year to follow the Rockets.

Now I know how A-Train felt...

It's really a good news for the Rockets fans, and I believe Artest can help this team a lot both in defence and offence. Coz' he is so strong and energetic, we all know that T-mac and Yao lack of this spirit which made this team stopped in first round in playoff every year.
Let's just wait to see what will happen in next season...

HillBoy what are you so upset about?

We improved our team termendesly w/ out giving up next to nothing?

I dont understand your point of view???

If it dosn't work out let him walk this offseason, not much more to it.

BUTTT if it does work out we will be looking at a deeeeeeeep run into next years playoffs!

    I don't like think trade...

    I LOVE IT!

Are you f'n kidding me? Since when did Bobby Jackson, Donte Green (who has yet to play a single minute in a Rockets uni, a low future first rounder and cash become the team's soul?

I guess you hated the Rockets in the early 90s because they had someone JUST as random and JUST as volatile (if not moreso) back then as well. But guess what? We also won with him.

Well...in the words of DD, "Don't let the door knob hit ya..." you know the rest.

    I love the trade...obviously.

I have a question, How many games has Ron Artest missed due to being in Jail?

I ask because Richard Justice keeps acting as if he has missed a lot of NBA games due to jail time.
