Dun know whether Artest will enjoy that bench spot, but Battier would seem more of a reliable 6th man, with reliable 3 pt shooting and elite defense. If you think about it, versatile players like Kobe would be shut down by Battier, whiles stronger players like Lebron would be shut down by Artest. In anyway, we have Brains and Brawl defense, we don't see that anywhere else in NBA.
BTW, I was at a club when I found out about this trade. One of the televisions there was on ESPN and on the bottom ticker all I saw was for Bobby Jackson, etc. I was like "WHO DID THE ROCKETS TRADE FOR???" I was in a hurry to get home after seeing that to find out who and to see what ClutchFans was saying.
I realized that everybody's concern seems to be Artest's legal troubles, but has anyone actually seen the charity work artest is involved in?
We still need to sign Landry though. I hope we dont need to spend the entire mid level on him. How much longer are we gona play poker with his agent? I cant wait to find out what the final roster would be!!
Anybody know when we can expect some sort of press conference and Artest's official introduction as a member of the Houston Rockets?
Not sure if this has been mentioned but the other players included with Artest are Patrick Ewing Jr. and Sean Singletary.
Wow. I finally got my account validated and we got Artest! Great day! I can't wait for the start of basketball season.
There shall be celebrations in the streets of Madrid tonight... SJC, when I come through Germany in Sept I will track you down and buy you as many beers as you can drink.
