Pacers play the Rockets for the first time on Jan 18th.

assuming O'neal's 25 gamer began yesterday vs the Magic, then the Rocket game will be the second game O'Neal will be back.

If the suspension starts now for O'Neal, the game vs the Rockets will be his first game back.

Every damn player in the game was off the bench! In that case everyone should get suspended one game.

For Ben Wallace, the Houston game will be the last day of his suspension?

Great decision. It's the only way these moronic babies will learn. The NBA and the fans deserve better from the players now and in the future.

    Dammit to hell.

Wallace and Artest are the anchors of my first place fantasy basketball team, where the league winner gets $1,000

I just lost my shot at a cool grand!

And the fans have no fault in any of this? The league also deserves better than having fans throwing anything they can pick up.

completely BS suspensions, even taking into account trying to make a point. absurd really.

how the hell did mad max get a 10 game suspension for what he did? if we're going to take into account the final result and not their actual actions, then wallace should be out for 15-20 games. however, since all he did was shove someone and egg the fight 3 or 5 games seems normal and 6 isn't completely out of line considering what happened. 30 should've been on the high side for artest, and only b/c he's been so crazy.

30 for jackson is completely ridiculous as he only went in to help artest and his best punch was on someone who got into the fight from the outside and threw a drink on artest.

o'neal's might be even worse since the guy was on the freakin' court going after artest. i don't care if he was just getting up, that's too bad for his face. don't go on the court.

i really can't believe the extreme nature of the suspensions. the more i thought about it, the bigger i thought they'd be, but this is completely out of line. even stein's article saying artest might be out for the season said there was really nothing you could do to justify giving o'neal or jackson suspensions longer than maxwell's.
they took the reported 30/20/20/5 that people thought was fair and blew it out of the water. one of the few times i disagree with stern. there's making an example and then there's just going crazy, and he had time to think unlike artest.

the original suspensions would've given indy time to make the playoffs in the east. now no artest for the whole year and two big guys out until the ASB almost. it's gonna be tough. luckily none is on my fantasy team.

detroit should lose some draft picks or something out of this or some home games or something. the organization can't go unpunished like they essentially are right now since their fans caused it.

Don't feel to bad. Someone in another thread had Artest, JO, and Ben Wallace on their team.

I think thats total bull**** that Wallace only got six games, while Artest is out the entire season. Had Wallace not reacted to the hard foul with his clumsy shot to Artest's neck and pursuit of Artest, which caused him to lay down on the table, then the fan would not have been close enough to throw the drink at Artest and cause the whole incident.

Of course they deserve blame, but the NBA can't suspend them without pay. However, once the investigation is finished, you can bet at least a couple will have to pay fines and possibly do community service or jail time for assult and some may sacrifice their season tickets.

I feel your pain Drapg, I feel your pain.

If you are not a pacers fan in indiana, your chances of winning the local fantasy league just went up by a mile.

The players union will probably appeal and work some adjustments in those suspensions. IF that doesn't happen i guess the NBA is really serious about the lengths.

Exactly, I was just responding to his post that came off as he was completely putting this all on the players. I may have misunderstood him, and I believe EVERYONE involved is to blame, but I just don't like how some have used this incident to label NBA players as idiotic or thugs.

The role of us fans has become so clear to me now. We've been supporting our team the wrong way. In order to improve the Rockets playoff chances we should throw things at our division rival until they start a fight with us. We might be kicked out of the arena but then we can file lawsuits against the player and make it all up.
Think of the championships we would have won if we threw a chair at Shawn Kemp back when Seattle kept on eliminating us!
So who's going to throw the chair at Carmelo Anthony in the upcoming Denver game? Any volunteers? :p

Recently on Sportscenter, I saw some soccer team had to play their home games in front of an empty arena in Europe b/c of the unruly behavior of fans.

I think the Pistons should be forced to lock out fans for the next five home games and play in front an empty arena.

Of course this won't happen b/c it will cost Detroit insane amounts of money in ticket and alcohol revenue, but I think David Stern needs to step in and mandate this.

The fans are getting off with nothing and the Piston fans just decimated their only real threat in the Eastern Conference, basically showing fans they can take their team's destiny into their own hands by provoking opposing players and trying to get them suspended.
